Yes I did and maybe because he doesn’t want you to know. 🤷
You got it.

He was specific in mentioning that he would cut taxes on things the rich (usurers) derive a lot of income from… like capital gains, or investments.

Why no specifics on things that matter to most people?

He plans on “broadening the base”, now how hard is it to figure out what that means?

Wall-street firms that get bailed out by democrats while folks like #occupy and other liberals are busy with their backs turned shaking their fist at the republicans “skim off” money.
Romney supported the Wall Street bail-outs!!!
It is NOT the job of our Constitution to see that families are provided for.
Did you read what I wrote? I wrote “provide for themselves”.
That is incorrect. God does not have a direct role in creating wealth
That’s news to me. I didn’t know Romney can create matter from nothing. I guess the earth’s endowment of gold and oil was created by Bain Capital. Maybe Romney also created himself from nothing.

Yes I did and maybe because he doesn’t want you to know. 🤷
Maybe he’ll do what he did in Massachusetts as governor - work with the policians on the other side of the aisle to solve our problems - something Obama has been unable and unwilling to do.

Romney: “I’d just note that I don’t believe that bureaucrats in Washington should tell someone whether they can use contraceptives or not. And I don’t believe employers should tell someone whether they could have contraceptive care of not. Every woman in America should have access to contraceptives.”
Lesser of two evils… How about both are too evil. Vote for Virgil Goode!!!

He is 100% Pro-Life.

Romney is not. **Romney **]is
just as rock-bottom evil as Obama.

The choice is to vote Pro-Life or Pro-Goldman Sachs.
Vote your conscience.

Back to the dodge.
Care to stay on topic?

Oh, you can go off topic, but I can’t?

Vanguardian, you lose all credibility (insofar as you had any to begin with) by calling Romney “evil.” To paraphrase Ronnie Van Zandt - now Mitt Romney does not bother me - does your conscience bother you?

Ishii

Ishii, it’s not bad for Obama if CO independents thought Obama won and if he holds OH. But btw no offense was meant by calling you a Romney poster. Just wasn’t sure I could refer to a specific poster by name. 🤷 Peace and have a good night.
Funny how " I heard CO independents thought" becomes a “fact” that you quote. What poll are you referring to? Otherwise its anecdotal hearsay and spin and I have no use for that.

No, Vanguardian - you’re wrong. The choice is to vote for Romney who wants to overturn Roe V Wade, or to vote for Obama who supports partial birth abortion.

What you appear to fail to see is what our President said right after his words on an act of terror. He spoke of that act we mourned “TODAY”. But nevermind. You can have the last word. Not worth me continuing to bother arguing with you over and over about it. I understand this subforum’s majority promotes the Republican agenda here. Peace.
And, I understand that Democrat Christians promote an agenda that supports pro-choice, failed presidents. 🤷

This is a win for Romney. This election is going to come down to the economy

Obama won the “Uncommitted” voters? Makes sense. He’s one of them. Uncommitted.

That’s why he’s making the same promises as four years ago. He and Hillary amazed me with those promises four years ago. They acted like they had no real power to act until elected President. When in fact each was a Senator from a LARGE state with their party in the majority! Where were the BILLS they authored and were shepherding?

Incumbents must have results ON their previous promises. Romney nailed Obama on many of those unfulfilled promises - doubling the deficit instead of halfing it (as promised in 2008) was a big one.

If he HAD committed to his promises … why did he not get them done with more power in his first two years than any President in my lifetime (and I’m 61 !)?

Agree with you on the economy Abyssinia. And it’s getting worse. Been to the gas pumps lately? THAT hurts “the poor” more than anyone!

And here in California - bad is good for the Democrats. Gas hikes have automatic tax hikes that go with them! The Democrats run both statehouses and the Governorship. It’s their money to play with – or would be if they could ever spend JUST what comes in or less – instead of billions MORE (accompanied, astoundingly with ever smaller results!).

Romney could honestly win in California I think. If he’d bust out of that “ground game” they keep talking about aimed at the dreaded swing states - and threw an end zone pass
out here in the Golden State.

Taking California from Obama would be a 110 point Electoral College reverse – and the election!

Romney supposedly gained 8 points in California last week - without running a single ad that I’ve heard. He ran them against Santorum for heaven’s sake (and early too).

Lesser of two evils… How about both are too evil. Vote for Virgil Goode!!!
Romney was trying to win low info voters who think Obama probably said Romney would take their contraception away; nothing Romney said betrayed or reversed his belief that the HHS mandate should be rescinded. Romney was refuting that the democrat line that he would make contraception illegal
Romney: Thank you. And I appreciate that question. I just want to make sure that, I think I was supposed to get that last answer, but I want to point out that that I don’t believe….
Obama: I don’t think so, Candy.
Romney: .… I don’t believe….

Obama: Malthusian HHS Mandate “Is Why We Passed” Obamacare

In last night’s presidential debate, Obama made the outrageous, ironic statement that “Governor Romney feels comfortable having politicians in Washington decide the health choices that women are making. I think that’s a mistake.”

This is revoltingly dishonest, given that the Health Care Rationing, Abortion, and Sterilization Act (aka Obamacare) is all about the federal government coercing women, in the name of cost-effectiveness, into having fewer babies; denying access to prenatal and infant health care to achieve its diabolical ends. Obama has admitted as much, as have members of his cabinet. Romney and other opponents of Obama’s health care takeover should be hammering this point home, over and over…

Washington Post: Moderator Crowley became focus of debate when talked turned to LibyaCandy Crowley’s signature moment as moderator of Tuesday’s rough-and-tumble presidential debate came when she was called upon to referee a dispute over President Barack Obama’s description of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya as an act of terror. When Republican Mitt Romney questioned whether the president had done so, Crowley said, “He did, in fact, sir.”
(Of course, the Post gets it partially wrong)

See Mediaite (believe it or not) for more (Crowley after the debate): Candy Crowley: Romney ‘Right’ That Obama Didn’t Call Libya Terror, But Thought ‘He Picked The Wrong Word’

CNN anchor and debate moderator Candy Crowley joined CNN’s panel after the debate to discuss a moment where she corrected Mitt Romney after he claimed that President Barack Obama had refused to characterize the attack in Libya an act of terror for 14 days. Crowley said that Romney’s was “right” in that the Obama administration spent weeks refusing to say that the attack was terrorism, but she thought at the time that “he picked the wrong word.”

“I heard the president speak at the time. I, sort of, reread a lot of stuff about Libya because I knew we’d probably get a Libya question so I kind of wanted to be up on it,” said Crowley. “I knew that the president had said, you know, these acts of terror won’t stand. Or, whatever the whole quote was.”

“Right after that I did turn around and say, but you’re totally correct that they spent two weeks telling us this was about a tape and that that there was this riot outside the Benghazi consulate which there wasn’t,” Crowley added.

“He was right in the main, I just think he picked the wrong word,” Crowley concluded. She went on to say that her instinct forced her to correct Romney even though his “thrust” was correct.
So she decided to inject herself into the debate as a participant because Romney didn’t meet her “style guide” requirements?

BTW, Obama’s exact comments:

Code:
Along with his colleagues, Chris died in a country that is still striving to emerge from the recent experience of war. Today, the loss of these four Americans is fresh, but our memories of them linger on. I have no doubt that their legacy will live on through the work that they did far from our shores and in the hearts of those who love them back home.

**Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks. ** We mourned with the families who were lost on that day. I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed. And then last night, we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.

As Americans, let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases, lay down their lives for it. Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe.

**No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.** Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done.

But we also know that the lives these Americans led stand in stark contrast to those of their attackers. These four Americans stood up for freedom and human dignity. They should give every American great pride in the country that they served, and the hope that our flag represents to people around the globe who also yearn to live in freedom and with dignity.
Now, were the words, “No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for”, in their context, referring to the attack on 9/11/12 or about the attack on 9/11/01???

The real loser from the debate was Candy Crowley: early reaction from the debate this morning is talking about the incident that she caused as a participant…and that shouldn’t be.

I think Romney missed a lot of easy opportunities this time around.

That said, this particular debate format certainly favors a professional community organizer vs. a career businessman.

I have to give this one to Obama, but not by the overwhelming margin Romney enjoyed in Debate #1 - a narrow “victory” here.

However, the results will speak for themselves as to how this debate influenced the specific target audience of undecided voters.

With regard to calling the Benghazi attacks terror: Obama very cleverly worded that so he could go either way on it. After that speech in the Rose Garden, he and other members of the Adminstration said it was a protest gone bad for two weeks, including Obama’s UN speech which centered around the idea that the Benghazi attack started as a protest against a video.

And the whole time any facts in the news which came out indicated that this was a planned act of terror. Even I, with no information from special intel sources, could tell it was not a protest gone bad but an act of terror.

I fell asleep. 🤷

I suspect the world didn’t change much since I woke? 😃

O used the technique of confusing and lying the whole time. Whatever fact Romney said, he responded with “that’s not true, that’s not true”. Romney should tell him that’s a familiar sentence when his children tried to deny bad things they have done. O and B both lie right and left.

Why would anyone in the right mind want liars to lead this country?
