That I was wondering. Is that number made up of pro life women that want restrictions and for abortion to me made illegal?

Remember, Rasmussen is using a 2004/2008 blend. They should probably be using a 2004 model (or a blend of 2004 and 2010, if that is possible)

I’ve noticed that. In times past, I’ve turned to Rasmussen to get a fairer gauge of how my Republican candidates were doing. Now, Gallup seems to be publishing poll results more in line with what’s really happening out there in America’s hinterlands.

They both loaded to the gills. People think Obama must be poor because he looks black. Its’ a complete stereotype, and racist to boot. Both of them are multi-millionaires. Most of the people in high places in the US government are. It’s a very lucrative business.

No, the debt is now staggering and catastrophic. The currency has been intentionally devalued by trillions by Bernanke. Our children and grandchildren are starting out life with a debt burden of which they can never repay. No Meltzer, if Obama continues as President, his Utopian nightmare that he desired for us when he promised to “transform” America will become reality. There will be no turning back, ever. Our posterity will see much darker days ahead. 😦 Rob
 
Will someone, anyone among the 38 who said that Obama WON the debate explain why? In my judgment, Obama made not one solid point. And his best moments were lies! :confused: Rob

Not due to what he said but rather his appearance: the fact he was unshaven, had shifty eyes, and was altogether not as personable and handsome as Kennedy. Kennedy won because of voter fraud in Illinois.

It’s very tough to beat a sitting Vice President, and that was Nixon.

The polls will start to reflect what will be the election results. Some of us have been projecting that already, and if Romney basically shows up on Monday and keeps campaigning on schedule, there’s no reason he can’t win by at least the same amount that the president beat McCain by.

A lot of MSM polling firms want the democrats to win, but they also don’t want to be the laughing stock on Wednesday, Nov. 7th.

Correct. As we near the actual election, you will see the media polls start to verge toward reality, but probably at the last minute because they also know that polls sway undecided people.

On the one hand, no one wants to be caught out in left field, obviously playing with numbers. On the other hand, if you are as biased as the media is, you want to give your candidate as much help as you can.

The incentive for the media polls to behave is lower than the incentive for those organizations that are REAL polling companies and have a business. Rasmussen and Gallup actually have other businesses the rest of the year that count on their integrity and quality, so they’re not going to go completely nuts in public. They’ll tend to converge on reality at the end. The bulk of their real business concerns is going to depend on it.
 
To test the president’s statement in the real world, I called several Planned Parenthood offices in the New York City area today to ask about scheduling a mammogram. “We actually don’t offer that here,” one office told me. “You might want to call 311, they actually have lists of places you could go to.” When I asked, “You don’t provide them like the president said?,” I was told “No.”

Another office told me the following: “We don’t do mammograms, but I could definitely give you other places you could call.” When I mentioned the president’s statement, the woman said, “I’m not even sure because we’ve never offered mammograms.” Of the five offices I called, only the Hempstead, N.Y., location said it offered the service — on Fridays and not by an in-house technician. Bingo. One is costing the tax payers money. The other one was created in the private sector, taking a risk from investing, and earning a paycheck. Why in the world I would be upset at Romney’s retirement nest egg as compared to Obama’s which is going to cost *me *money, is unfathomable.
