I live a stones throw from Hofstra University. I can tell you the area is the biggest liberal pocket going. I can also tell you that I worked at Hofstra University at one time and never met a conservative there that I can remember.

This may mean nothing but my feeling is that this audience will be Obama friendly and probably be stacked with questionares that stick it more to Romney. Just a guess. Crowley moderating doesn’t help either for Romney.

4:05PM EDT October 15. 2012 - WASHINGTON — Mitt Romney leads President Obama by five percentage points among likely voters in the nation’s top battlegrounds, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, and he has growing enthusiasm among women to thank.
As the presidential campaign heads into its final weeks, the survey of voters in 12 crucial swing states finds female voters much more engaged in the election and increasingly concerned about the deficit and debt issues that favor Romney. The Republican nominee now ties the president among women who are likely voters, 48%-48%, while he leads by 12 points among men.

IMO, if he comes out too aggressive just to please his fanatic Liberal base he will turn off the undecided voter. He will look un-presidential and it will backfire on him. I think that was what he was going for in the first debate (to look “presidential”). However, he cannot “act” like something he should have never been in the first place – the President of the United States.

Most people have already made up their minds. I read a poll a few weeks ago that only 7% of likely voters are “undecided”.

Stupid question…if Romney is tied with Obama for the female vote and up 12 points with the male vote…how is he behind 2%? Are there really that many sexually confused people to make up the difference?

“Clo Ewing, an Obama campaign spokeswoman, stood by Biden’s statement, and criticized Ryan and running mate Mitt Romney for using the issue as a ‘political football,’” said a Religion News Service story published online Saturday by the Washington Post.

“President Obama and Vice President Biden believe standing up for women’s health and respecting religious liberties are not mutually exclusive, and they are committed to upholding both principles,” Obama campaign spokewomen Ewing said in a statement to Religion News Service.** “As it stands, no religious institution will have to refer, provide, or pay for contraception.”***

Am I missing something?

Clo Ewing is either lying or has not looked at the health care law
 
When they start throwing numbers out there, whether 47 %, x-trillion dollars, x-dollars in tax increase/decrease, x-million people, etc., I just get completely lost. I have learned over the years that numbers can be twisted to mislead although I know that throwing out numbers is a politician’s saving grace. I just wish Romeny would quote Ronald Reagan: “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” It is Obama’s HHS Mandate, pro-abortion stance, unilateral decision making, broken promises (when he spoke at Notre Dame, did he not mention the need for dialogue?), and handouts to left-handed citizens with blue eyes and red hair that have the initials ME that make me cringe.
