It was fun to see Romney taught some manners by the moderator. He was extremely rude in the first debate. I was struck again by how self centered and immature he is. It really showed with Mr. Obama and a strong moderator as his foil.
Did anyone else notice how he scowled and grew more and more uncomfortable as Mr. Obama cut him down to size in the last half?

You and I must have watched two different debates…both times around. Romney was courteous but firm in the first debate. The moderator in the second debate was rude, and crude, and biased. She found it “necessary” to interrupt Romney some 28 times…Obama only 9 times. She interjected on Obama’s behalf…and mistated the facts…and it’s amazing she just “happened” to have a transcript of Obama’s Rose Garden speech on Libya on hand…and still didn’t get the facts correct. When you say self-centered and immature you’re talking about Obama, right? This following quote of yours tells it all, you said
apparently you, Mr. Obama, and Mrs. Crowley don’t understand the role of a moderator. The moderator is not suppossed to be a foil for either candidate…but you are correct in stating she was Obama’s foil…she was in the tank for Obama the whole way…fed him lines…attempted to rescue him on on Fast and Furious and Libya both. It’s ridiculous.

I work on an ambulance and am on shift right now. We just ran a call for abdominal pain. The pt has no insurance and no means to pay for the transport or treatment he’ll receive at the hospital. The way things are now, everyone who can pay will pay more so that cost is covered. That’s how our system works right now. That’s one of the reasons medical treatments cost so much.

It was pointed out that Bush had two years of both the house and senate, but then someone spun it to be he couldn’t do anything because of the democrats. It doesn’t matter who gets in, their failures will be the other side’s fault and the ‘sheepole’ will cheer them on.
This whole thread doesn’t make a lot of sense, either way. It seems partisanship at all costs. I really wish we didn’t have a multiple party system and started holding each politician accountable; yea even Obama. That’s been thrown at me several times because I don’t support either candidate; that I support Obama. I don’t support either one. To be perfectly honest, I’d like to see Romney get in there, just so I can check the ‘spins’ as he stumbles.

Just curious? Have you seen 2016? I just saw it and now realize that Obama isn’t really a democrat. It made his speeches and choices as president all make sense. Now I’m a conservative, but I do believe that most Americans feel differently about what America is than what Obama sees America as. Give it a watch. I recommend it for everyone, right left and center.:sad_yes:

Both cases were the result of intelligence failure. The FBI had evidence of hijackers flight training in Minneapolis but the reports hit a dead end.
The intel regarding WMD’s were wrong even though they were from multiple sources.
The democrats wrote the budget in 2007 and beyond until 2011.
Harry Reid hasn’t passed a budget in over three years in order to protect the Senate for the democrats.
Benghazi was a cover-up under this administration.

Of course on one level, the goal of Republicans is to elect a Republican president, and the goal of Democrats is to elect a Democrat president. To not understand that, Cmatt, is to not understand politics. And I don’t know about this “gathering” of sinister forces plotting their opposition to Obama that you’re referring to. You seem to come up with a lot of anecdotal points Cmatt - a lot of hearsay. I think if you want to be taken more seriously, you’d post more facts and less half-truths and hearsay.
Do you know that if Romney wins, the Democrats will immediately start working on how they’re going to defeat him in 2016? I think even Senator Harry Reid will be in on that. Cmatt - have you read any excerpts of Bob Woodward’s account of the budget negotiations between the GOP House and Obama? I would suggest you check it out - it would shatter you illusions about Obama being a victim of an obstructionist congress.

Actually no. They’re pretty much tied there. Obama is starting to circle his wagons and target the places he needs to be. This always happens. This is a tight race and you’ll be able to tell how it’s going by watching where the candidates go every day.
Obama has targeted OH, NH, IA, NV. They’re all really close and he’s going to try to tip them. He’s given up on VA, NC and FL. And the administration isn’t even talking about CO anymore which may be a giveaway there too. MI, NY and CA are not in the news because they’re expected to go for Obama–they usually go Democratic. Same thing with Texas and most of the South for the Republicans.
Undecideds overwhelmingly go for the challenger. They hold their nose and vote. They’re undecided because they can’t stand who they’ve got. How eager they are to vote all depends on how big a stinker they think the incumbent is. Pollsters are picking up a fairly high amount of eagerness among Republicans and Independents this election cycle.

Cmatt - when John McCain expressed concern over Obamacare being discussed behind closed doors - secretly and not out in the open for all to see, Obama responded by saying, " We’re not campaigning anymore, the election is over." In other words, “my way or the highway, John.” There is your cooperative president, Cmatt. Of course I fully expect you to make excuses for Obama on this.

I’ll tell you what’s really nice this time around. This time, I’m not seeing the kind of Godless pagan worship of a man that I was seeing last time. It was crazy. It was like the whole country was on drugs and the world was ending. I wasn’t in this forum then, and I’m glad I wasn’t. It might have really damaged my faith. I saw it in almost every other forum I went to, though. I spent a lot of time offline last fall out of sheer disgust and repulsion for the idolatry I saw.
That’s gone. There are still people who are extremists, but the emotional and religious-like hysteria is gone. The world sobered up. The king was naked. The Obama religion flopped. Even if he somehow manages to get re-elected, everyone now knows he’s only a man, and a not very good president.

Thank you for the link and your analysis, iloveangels. I would say that the video shows just how open and willing Obama is to work with Republicans. When he had a 60 seat majority in the senate and a House majority he told the Republicans to take a hike.
