It is sad to see a Catholic school’s president willingly propagate falsehoods and seemingly support evil

It doesn’t seem that the bishop can be blamed for anything here. I mean, LifeSite was denied contact with the bishop so no one really knows what he thinks. It can be very difficult to get an approved meeting with a bishop in some diocese.

The original comments are awful, but I agree that LifeSite is not a legitimate news source.

Why? Have you ever found them to be in error? Have you ever found their statistics in error?

I have not.

…as opposed to THE legitimate news sources (New York Times, Times magazine, CNN etc) which continually distort any news about Christianity or the Catholic Church!

From the article: “Abortion is not an infallible teaching. It never has been proclaimed infallibly,” he said.
Uh - even disregarding for the moment the “unchanging teaching” given us via our Catechism, has this priest never heard of the Fifth Commandment? Or did God not proclaim the commandments infallibly?

Beyond sad, if you ask me.

Just because you think all the others are unreliable, doesn’t mean LifeSite is infallible and amazing. They twist every story they get, even more than the ‘MSM’.

At least this could explain the priest that did the Masses on the cruise I was on over Christmas/New Years. He teaches at the University mentioned and is of the same order as the bishop and university president. 🤷

Besides Lifesite is a very reliable source since it had not bowed down to the liberals.

Who cares if LifeSite News is a reliable news source or not - either he said it or he didn’t. There must be some way of finding that out. Maybe the Bishop should ask. It seems important enough, doesn’t it?

Can you provide examples? No news source is infallible but some are better than others.

Since LifeSite is a pro-Life Catholic information source it will always lean toward the hard line life side. I really like the information they give me and send this along to others 😃 as often as I can.

I understand that someone that is not pro-life and is a non-catholic might think it is an extremist news source.

Doesn’t have to be amazing. All he’s saying is that if you want to discredit LifeSite, then you better have the same objection when the NY Times rolls out its drivel.
