She could try her diocesan chancery- there may well be a tribunal member/ canon lawyer available

Well, I hear you, but that’s’ not exactly how the Chancery works.
God bless you friend!

All our deanery penance services were completed last week. We have one priest for our parish of 1200 families, he is past spread thin. In a normal week he does 13 Masses, more if there is a funeral. Actually during ordinary times it is 14, as there is either a wedding or quinceanera every weekend. He also holds reconciliation two days a week. So yeah, he gets a pass for not having reconciliation this week.

We also close the parish office Wednesday at noon. Our diocese also closes at noon Wednesday. The OP needs to understand s/he can go to Mass and not receive the Eucharist.

This is Holy Week, no priest has the time to do confession. This is the busiest week of the year for priests. I’m actually surprised any parish will have confession available Holy Saturday. If you can’t go to confession, then refrain from receiving the Eucharist this weekend. It’s not a life or death situation.
I understand about priests being busy during Holy Week, but around here one of the things they are busy with is hearing confessions. Every parish around me has increased scheduled confession times this week.

Our parish and the others around us just can’t. We live in a rural state with one priest per parish for the most part. Some have one priest for a parish and a couple of stations. In the time of Lent there is ample opportunity to go to a penance services or confession in their own parish and it is stated in bulletins, announcements, on websites, FB pages, everywhere a parish can think of to let folks know.

I understand this is not universal and bigger parishes may have something different or more resources.

Thank you everyone!. . .Yesterday I found a Parish Priest and after the 7 am Mass he heard my Confession!!. . .I got back in time for my Parish 8:30 am Mass.
What a Blessing. . .May the Risen Christ Bless You and all Your Loved Ones this Easter. . .and always

All my parish priest does this week is focus on the Masses, hearing confessions and instructing the new altar servers (8 new children and 2 old. I have lost track of the languages spoken and Catholic rites present.) First time my parish has a paper on the info table when the priest will be there for confession.
