Would you like me to provide a link to the pictures? I figured most people could just google it and tons of images would be displayed.

Oh yeah. She’s seething with Luciferian energies.
Clearing your head is not demonic and I don’t know when I said that.
Uh huh. Sure you didn’t.
Pictures posted on one site show children on their desks with their legs crossed and their hands in a specific yoga posture with thumb touching middle finger. How is this considered mere "exercise or stretching?

The danger is syncretism and embracing new age ideas. The Holy Father said once you are no longer focused on Jesus it is no longer prayer.

As far a St John of the Cross, yes I understand him and he was quite adamant that people avoid seeking spiritual experiences.MOst of his writings as well as St Teresa of Avila were directed to nuns and monks leading VERY ascetic lives.
And you think syncretism is the same as diabolical possession? Yes, I acknowledge the warnings against syncretism, the mixing of concepts which are incompatible with the fullness of truth we are blessed to have in the Church. And if the Catholics who practice Yoga are sincerely incorporating notions of polytheism or reincarnation into their faith, this would indeed be problematic, but still not diabolical per se. But I think you and I both know the vast majority of those who try Yoga are simply looking for better health.

Now if Yoga opened us to possible (or inevitable, if I read the warnings in this thread right) diabolical possession, shouldn’t official Church documents at least mention this? This would be really serious, our salvation in jeopardy. Shouldn’t we read something like, “The Catholic Church rejects nothing of what is true and holy in these religions, and by the way, if you practice Yoga, you are liable to be possessed by the devil.” But we do not see anything like that, do we?

Toward the end of this video referenced in the original post Fr Kneemiller has some interesting comments. In one he casually mentions Jesus as the water bearer and also a mention of Aquarius. Jesus is the bearer of the water of life.

In another short comment he mentions that all parishes and dioceses should have regular life in the Spirit seminars. Though these seminars are fine and seem to increase faith a goal of at least some of them is to lay hands on to impart a baptism of Holy Spirit which is often evidenced by the recipient speaking in an unknown language. Now some say that this special release of the Spirit is the same as kundalini arousal. I find that very unlikely.

What is true and holy about these other faiths most certainly does not involve writhing on the floor, hissing like a snake, barking like a dog,or experiencing years of kriyas(unexplained and uncontrolled jerkings and movements supposed related to the control of a goddess Shakti)

The goal of all yoga is kundalini awakening.Ask any guru and I am sure they would be honest. Some have gone so far as to say that kundalini is to be our savior.YiKES

What most people understand as ‘yoga’ doesn’t involve that either. What’s your point? 🤷 If you ask me, you’ve already made a lot unsubstantiated assertions for one day.

You do realize that consistency and New Age gurus aren’t exactly synonymous right?

And this defends your previous statements… how? 🤷
Lost.It was simply a casual comment about the video itself. I was just noticing that although Fr condemns yoga practices as incompatible with Christianity he misses the point that a great many people think that baptism of the Spirit and kundalini arousal are the same thing.

My claims do not have to be proven or substantiated. They are merely observation and opinion.

Well it doesn’t exactly help your position given that you’re still constantly reiterating the same old sensationalism everyone on this thread is scrambling to put out. 🤷

I edited that post to elaborate on something I noticed regarding Fr Kneemiller. Read the previous one

Lost this poor child is just a product of the new age which has infiltrated EVERY aspect of society. These classes are taught everywhere even in some churches. Why is it that Christianity is virtually banned from schools but this spirituality warmly embraced??And YES it IS a spiritual practice not merely exercise. The little girl certainly does not look as if she is exercising or stretching.

For something you claim to be your mere opinion, you seem to like put a lot of stock into it as if it were fact.

How could anything about Buddhism and Hinduism be true and holy, closely associated as they are with Yoga, and Yoga being as diabolical as you seem to insist? Yet, by making the statement, “The Catholic Church rejects nothing of what is true and holy in these religions,” the Church acknowledges the kernel of truth in these religions.

From Crossing The Threshold of Hope, St. Pope John Paul II quoting the Council Fathers:

“In Hinduism, men explore the divine mystery and express it through an endless bounty of myths and through penetrating philosophical insight… The various schools of Buddhism recognize the radical inadequacy of this malleable world and teach a way by which men, with devout and trusting hearts, can become capable either of reaching a state of perfect liberation, or of attaining, by their own efforts or through a higher help, supreme illumination.”

If the Holy Father was concerned that this “higher help” was indeed the devil, shouldn’t he have said so? He did not.

I am not sure that the Pope was speaking about kundalini arousal or yoga. The way of most religions is through self giving loving your neighbor and kindness not waiting for a goddess to possess you and make you bark.

Lost this poor child is just a product of the new age which has infiltrated EVERY aspect of society.
So… where is this evil, ominous energy you keep raving about? Because really, I don’t see it. (Remember what I said about one of comedy’s common ingredients? ;))

That’s not the goal of conventional yoga either.

So you believe the goal of “conventional” yoga is fitness? The energy I was referencing is called kundalini and according to the masonic text I referenced is derived from Lucifer however the writer seems to think there are 2 gods and Lucifer the good guy and Jehovah the bad.

My concerns are the claim by many gurus that you CANNOT separate yoga from its spiritual roots. The goal of all yoga IS kundalini arousal.

Fitness. Relaxation. Toning. Whatever you call it, it’s certainly not as infernal as you make it to be.

Your reference doesn’t even come with a link. I might as well believe you are citing the ravings of a fabricated crackpot. 🤷 Many people have asked you to provide your source but you don’t.

That says a lot. Really.

The very existence of conventional, bastardized yoga only proves that whatever gurus you’re citing are wrong… which is really the case for a movement that lacks any centralized consistency.

So what is the purpose of placing your thumb and finger together in exercise? Just curious. And you still have not answered my question as to why Christianity is being eliminated from schools yet this alternate "spirituality is embraced warmly.

It’s a gesture. Don’t read anything more into it. It doesn’t come off as psychologically healthy. (Not to mention you’re proving the theory that those who have opposed Yoga on these boards suffer from scruples.)

Lost,ALL hand gestures and positions in yoga are significant.

I just wanted to make one final point. The goal of all yoga is kundalini arousal.
