No, I am highlighting the callousness of this dismissal of the loss of life and lack of choice in natural disasters.
Ye have such little Faith.

I don’t mean this as an insult, but you do not understand God. His ways are so far above ours, as the Heavens are above the earth (from Fr. Corapi).

We are not made for this world. Many forget or dismiss this, and live for this world, and put nothing up for the next.

God Bless.

FYI:Click Here:From the Divine Mercy In My Soul Diary of St. Faustina Kowalska
:

“God’s mercy sometimes touches the sinner at the last moment in a wondrous and mysterious way. Outwardly, it seems as if everything were lost, but it is not so. The soul, illumined by a ray of God’s powerful final grace, turns to God in the last moment with such a power of love that, in an instant, it receives from God absolution of sins and remission of punishment, while outwardly it shows no sign either of repentance or of contrition, because souls [at that stage] no longer react to external things. Oh, how beyond comprehension is God’s mercy! But - horror! - There are also souls who voluntarily and consciously reject and scorn this grace! Although a person is at the point of death, the merciful God gives the soul that interior vivid moment, so that if the soul is willing, it has the possibility of returning to God. But sometimes, the obduracy in souls is so great that consciously they choose hell; they [thus] make useless all the prayers that other souls offer to God for them and even the efforts of God Himself…” (Diary, 1698).

God Bless.

Oh, that’s right. We always see so many folks lining up, hands locked in prayer, asking to die in hurricanes, floods, fires, etc. So many parents who say, “Yes, take my children from me in this famine.” Yes, so many children who say, “Yes, please make me destitute orphans here in Haiti where I have such a great chance at a comfortable life without parents, without clean water, without basic medicine.”

Indeed, “Let’s make no efforts to provide medicine and knowledge of how to minimize the damage of pestilence and famine and structural collapse around the world because, after all, it is all part of God’s will and, of course, we don’t know actually how many folks are not going to their deaths in these cases quite willingly and longingly and with open arms of gratitude.”

First off my question was addressed to your ability to ask the dead.

However, I will use an example of the hopelessness in India. People are dying in the street and people step right over them. Why? They believe that they will be reincarnated into a better life.

The Boy Scout motto is “Be prepared”. Jesus tells us to be ready for we do not know the time. Are you prepared?

father is a good example of courage. notice how he was not afraid to say, the CC and the false religions. God bless you father. i know you will suffer for this, but we are with you always.

larkin31 and a few other atheists rattle of the typical atheist baloney from their talking points list. These have been answered over and over already.

The Expedite Heaven issue is one of these - There are a few reasons to want to continue to live our life on earth.

Duty is one.

Another is the journey to the cross. We strive to increase our capacity for God.

The ability to experience the beatific vision is an analog concept not a discrete one. The healing of the soul is of prime importance. Suffering can help heal the soul and increase our capacity for God.

If one is journeying toward heaven then why on earth would you want to not experience it to the fullest?

We should send him a note of support.

We should send him a note of support.
he doesnt have a computer or tv.
good for him. he has more time to spend with God and acquire wisdom.

today at Mass a deacon gave a good homily. he said to Catholics, what are we doing for the CC? are we reading and learning about the Faith? are we reading the pope’s writings to learn what the holy father is saying?

notice also that this guy is not up to live the Faith. he is telling the CC to leave the teachings of the past and start new teachings. basically he is saying let’s create a new god. one that we can accept. one who can accept our life style.

Re: Gay Marriage and the End of Christian Civilization

The gay agenda is much more diabolic that any one of us can think of.

how can we live as Catholics in a non Catholic world.?

by taking care of your own soul first, and living with love and charity for others. The same way we all do.
thank you for the advice.

4 Charity is patient, is kind: charity envies not, deals not perversely, is not puffed up, 5 is not ambitious, seeks not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinks no evil: 6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices with the truth**: 7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.**

I hope that some of the dissent from Catholic teaching by the priests on homosexual issues will abate with the prohibition of homosexuals to the priestly formation. You can’t convince me there is not a correlation.

Well in my experience with seminarians there really hasn’t been much of a change. I know of many with SSA and yet no mass exodus from the seminaries has occurred. It seems like most seminaries are more than willing to accept such people as long as they aren’t acting out their attractions and fit the other criteria of a Priest. I don’t really have a problem with this anyway because all the seminarians I know who fit this description would make excellent priests, and I honestly feel like the Church should have issued clearer language in their letter to the seminaries regarding the issue.

Father Rodriguez’ Bishop, Bishop Ochoa of El Paso, has now weighed into the dispute. He wrote his own OpEd column to clarify that “previous columns claiming to speak for Catholic Doctrine were the personal opinions of individuals and do not necessarily express the belief of the Catholic Church.” He also wrote to remind all that harsh words and condemnation was not Christ’s way, and should not be ours:
When we talk about abortion and homosexuality, we are talking about human beings dealing with all kinds of concerns and unresolved challenges. Our Church does not want to simply judge and condemn, but first to offer Christ’s love and compassion. God’s first and primary law is love and how love of others is at the same time our love for God. As Church we want to journey with everyone as they search for meaning in their lives. We believe that Christ offers this meaning. The use of harsh words of condemnation is not the approach Christ invites us to have toward one another. Intolerance closes the door to learning and deeper understanding of each other.
He cautioned that his point was not that the Church’s teaching should change, but that Christians are called to extend those teaching with compassion and love for all, noting that
“Too many people have suffered because of a profound lack of compassion and a perceived arrogant intolerance.”
His conclusion:
I urge all of our pastoral agents to reach out to individuals with a homosexual orientation and their families with compassion. This can be done without compromising Church teaching in any way because our pastoral care demands no less from us.

Precisely! We are to have compassion on the sinner, despise the sin—and NOT further the celebration of this Mortal Sin-which sends souls to Hell for all eternity. Giving Sodomy an okay by the secular society and all the parades, official days and celebrations—now attempting to drag holy marriage down to the equivalent of a Mortal Sin!!!

To celebrate the lifestyle, to back these sinners in their sin-will be a very serious sin to answer to God for.

You’ve got it.

I shudder at the thought.

God Bless.

Who was the poster and which thread stated the wonderful quotes on tolerance from AB Fulton Sheen?
“The cry for tolerance never induces it to quench its hatred of the evil philosophies that have entered into contest with the Truth.”
“Charity is the infusion of the Spirit of God, which makes us love the beautiful and hate the morally ugly.”
