Amen to what this Father said!
He sounded like St. John the Baptist!
āWake Up, Catholicsā, indeed!

They did the same thing when they funded ACORN. Like, I couldnāt believe that they are so dense that they didnāt suspect that ACORN was a communist [small ācā] organization and that since the Democrats were so heavy into it that it was also funding abortions.Should also read: Priest to Catholic Bishops: Stop Being Stupidā¦
How many times have our Bishops endorsed obamacare only to have it bite them, and take so many faulty stances and then act suprised when a snake acts like a snake.
Contrary to popular opinion, I do not see this as a declaration that Catholics must accept whatever random GOP candidate rises to the surface. For us Catholics, the basic issues are: Life from conception to natural death, that is, protection of the unborn, those with life, and those who are sick; protection of new life in its most nascent form, the embryo; protection from cloning to farm body parts; protection from sexual deviance in the form of pederasty, homosexuality, adultery, fornication, prostitution.
Certainly not. We just should not accept the most ardently pro-abortion candidate availableāfor example, our current president.Contrary to popular opinion, I do not see this as a declaration that Catholics must accept whatever random GOP candidate rises to the surface.
We will know the truth after the results are out and Obama gets a second term. God bless Obama! may his tribe increase!!!
I certainly wouldnāt vote for Obama, but I donāt think I have to be satisfied with what the other side is offering either, because Iām not.Certainly not. We just should not accept the most ardently pro-abortion candidate availableāfor example, our current president.
Thanks for the link. I canāt help but quote one line:Update on 14 January: The 15 January issue of OUR SUNDAY VISITOR weekly newspaper arrived in my mailbox this afternoon. Much of the issue was devoted to the topic of abortion. Here is a linkā¦which I hope still worksā¦to a page concerning the role of abortion in next yearās election.

I know where youāre coming from. Neither side of the isle is to be trusted. That said, I do believe our moral obligation is to vote pro life. I believe it to be the #1 priority. If we have no respect for human life in the womb, or at the end of life, we have NO civil rights policy in place. The culture of death that we have in place now will definitely be the ruination not only of this country, but of the world.I certainly wouldnāt vote for Obama, but I donāt think I have to be satisfied with what the other side is offering either, because Iām not.![]()
But will they? Sometimes I think the two hardest substances in the universe are human stubbornness and self centeredness.I pray that some of the Obama voting Catholics will listen to this Priest!
I am afraid you might be correct. First of all, they would never make it very far into the primaries unless they had gobs of money. Neither side of the isle would support such a person. Itās a very sad situation we have in Washington. I donāt hold much esteem for politicians of either side. They are corrupt and unethical to the core, be they Democrats or Republicans. I hate to be so cynical, but hey, you gotta call a spade a spade.I see the choice presented as a poor one.
Neither GOP nor Democrat have stopped abortion.
Neither have ended the unjust wars.
Neither have helped the poor, the elderly or the sick.
If there were ever a politician that stood for most of what the Vatican has stated as its position, I doubt the partisan supporters of the other side would vote for that person.
Be that person Reublican or Democrat.
Your last statement I agree with 100%. I hate voting for the lesser of evils, not that they are evil, but you know what I am getting atā¦I see the choice presented as a poor one.
Sad, but true.
Neither GOP nor Democrat have stopped abortion.
Not just sad, but disturbing!
Neither have ended the unjust wars.
Well, being unjust may be an opinion, but I agree that it has gone on waaay too long.
Neither have helped the poor, the elderly or the sick.
I donāt agree with thisā¦mostly. There are many services in place to help these groups, alas some fall through the cracks and more can always be done. But this statement implies nothing is done and thatās not really accurate.
If there were ever a politician that stood for most of what the Vatican has stated as its position, I doubt the partisan supporters of the other side would vote for that person.
Be that person Reublican or Democrat.
Iāll second that!A courageous Priest.![]()
Thatās pretty racist.God bless Obama! may his tribe increase!!!
His tribe would increase - except Obama supports and defends those that āchooseā to ensure that it does notWe will know the truth after the results are out and Obama gets a second term. God bless Obama! may his tribe increase!!!
