He may have a medical condition or is on medication that could be affecting his speech.I was recently at a daily Mass where the priest had some type of disability involving his speech. He said things such as “as we celery this Eucharist”, “for you and for money”, “companions on the Germany of life”. It was clear that he was not intending to go against any rubrics. Is the Mass in this case still valid? I wasn’t sure.
Are you sure he doesn’t just have an accent?
