So you take one verse to base you entire belief on?
No, What I pointed out in response to your post “Indeed! The Holy Spirit works through the Church to guide us on the path to God through Christ.”, was that there is no mention of a church in 2Peter1:20, 21
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2Thes 2:15 - Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, either by an oral statement or by a letter of ours.
The oral statements and epistles spoken of here were given by (name removed by moderator)iration to Paul (an individual) not to “the church” and this tradition and letters talk of the same thing.
1Cor.2
1And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
1Tim 3:15 - But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church (ekklēsia) of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth
Pillars and foundations are things that hold things up and that is what this is saying that the churches function is to hold up the truth of Christ that has been given to individuals through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Advocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name - he will teach you everything and remind you of all that (I) told you. -John 14:26,
Jesus is talking to His disciples here, individuals, who were soon to split up and go into the world. Again not a church.
God is love
