Private revelations?

How do we explain all the private revelations that haven’t come to pass? Are there official revelations the church does accept? I.e some people predict the end of the world and it didn’t happen. How do we know like the rosary and it’s promsies are true if the church won’t even validate the revelation?

We’ve been told in scripture that we won’t know the day or the hour so any prediction of the end of the world can automatically be seen as false.

Catholics are not required to believe any private revelation.
 
So basically there’s no benefit for the rest of us to pray the rosary over say any other prayer?
 
Is it the same with the scapular? Cause why do people think the promises apply to them when it’s not even soemthing the church recognizes? Is it superstition?
 
The Church proclaims that Revelation ended with the death of the last apostle.
 
That’s a negative, soldier. This place is going down in blazes according to scripture. Scientists say that too.

Pope Pius XII made a tacit endorsement of a 400 year old prophecy that says that the Church will have only one more Pope after Francis. Despite this endorsement and despite the fact that Catholic Answers pundits Jimmy Akins and Tim Staples have held discussions about this prophecy, we don’t seem to be able to discuss it on CAF. The Rosary: Mary gave this prayer to help us communicate w God w her help in taking our prayers to say them in front of the throne of grace. She promises if we love her, saying the rosary, she will stand w us at our time of judgement and defend us. She’ll report the number of rosaries said. They help clear our punishments. It’s from the Bible. The last verse just says PRAY FOR US SINNERS, NOW AND AT THE HOUR OF OUR DEATH. AMEN.
Saying the rosary quietly, reflecting on Jesus life, can only be good.
The scapular: you know yrs ago, religious would wear coarse mohair shirts for a suffering offering. They got cut back to scapular size. It’s not a magic tool. I don’t wear one but I have.
Lighting candles. Prayer is brought before the Throne of grace as sweet incense rises to God’s throne. Traditions of church have been passed down for years by oral route.

We are not obliged to accept private revelations. All the necessary revelations finished with the Gospel.

Of course not. Our Gospels are the core of our religion, and, if we are lucky, they are the core of our lives, too. But some of us do find modern prophecy and visions to be useful in understanding what’s going on in the world today and for providing a timeline to OT prophecy.

The 400 year old prophecy that I referred to provides a timeline for the fulfillment of the terrible visions of Pope St. Pius X and these in turn refer to the beginning of the last days of the world.

People ask me why they should care about knowing this. I reply that our generation has created a deadly and irresolvable situation for our immediate descendants that they will have to endure. We at least owe it to them to inform them of what they are facing and why.
 
I would not allow myself to touch on the end of the world prophecy. Yes, there are certain things that must happen first before the Judgment Day but I will never go to when. Sufficient it is to keep watch and be ready otherwise it is not like a thief in the night anymore if we know when he would break in. Hehe.

If that is the alleged prophecy of St Malachy then of course discussion won’t be allowed. Not only is it not approved by the Church but the Church has stated that it is a forgery.
