exactly. i know in my area this priest who is a Traditionalist and have the TLM, is put in this small chapel of the Church and he speaks sometimes of almost persecution while the the others who have a waterdown faith is acclaimed and celebrated and they all are all happy. they try to keep the TLM hidden from all. i remembering asking this lady at the Church where TLM was? she had no idea. and the Mass was next door in the Chapel.

the dissents are having quite a bit of power in teh Church, while the good priests are being sent here and there as punishment.

remember that priest in Chicago? that is a good example. the good priests have to remain silent or they will be silented anyway.

What really sticks out to me in the article is the last sentence where it says:

For this to occur, the Diocese can’t play innocent with regard to the scandal that he is giving. By having him in the newspaper, they are endorsing him as I doubt that they would have Mel Gibson or Bishop Williamson on there!

I truly see Clergy like this to be the Archenemies of the Church. Satan’s pawns to destroy the Church within. The Church (as with the entire world) is at WAR. The sooner God’s faithful realize this the more effectively we can wage the battle. God’s people have to “put on their armour” and fight the good fight! Speak boldly and without fear of the evil within. Stand tall for the TRUE FAITH. This is a WAR between principalities and powers! God expects nothing less from His children than to PRAY, SACRIFICE, AND FIGHT!!

the Sermon this morning was good at EWTN. God called us to be His disciples above all even if divisions will come. the priest says about how Jesus spoke about divisions in the family for the love of Christ. so, basically trying to keep the Church together with those who have no interest in the Truth is worse than be separated from them.

Which priest in Chicago? Know his name? Or some of the details? I am in that general vicinity, (on the far outskirts, but still in the Diocese) The Priest that stands out to me is Fr. exactly. that is the one i am speaking of. he is allowed to spill his dissents freely, but those who love the Church and teach the Truth are hidden from the people.

With Cardinal Ouellet in charge of picking bishops now, they’re sure to get someone better who will be willing to deal with these off the wall priests. Unfortunately though, this kind of garbage has been preached for so long in Quebec and the rest of Canada that it will be war when an orthodox bishop takes over. People here are just not used to being told what to do by the Church.

It was covered in all the newspapers, with quotes from priests and laity about him being “authoritarian”, not pastoral etc. If people went nuts over a small thing like kneeling for the consecration, how would they react if a bishop forcefully condemned homosexuality?

of course we cant blamed the people for this. they have been tought by liberals to be proud… pride is something very hard to get rid of. these people must be tought again who is in charge. God is in charge and not them.

The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops. **The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres (other priests). **Churches and altars will be sacked. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord."

I agree and it’s unbelievable that instead of disciplinary action, the bishop merely forwarded the complaint to Fr. Gavel. Have you noticed, though, that when we do fight for Truth and point it out, often times we ourselves are accused by our fellow Catholics of “scandal” and of attacking the bishops!

Satan, is indeed, the master of deception. The best thing we can do for ourselves is to pick up our Catechism once again, and start at page one.

Beyond disturbing. It is in situations like this that all the good bishops/priests of the world need to back up the Archbishop who is doing the right thing. Why is it that we always let the voices of dissent shout louder than the voices of Truth?

Tigg - how right you are about fellow Catholics making accusations of scandal and attacking the bishops when you stand up for the clear, black and white Truth. Nonsensical.
