Pro-Life Group Delivers 300,000 Petitions to Notre Dame on Obama Invite

South Bend, IN – A pro-life Catholic educational watchdog group today is delivering to University of Notre Dame officials more than 300,000 petitions opposing its invitation to President Barack Obama. The pro-abortion president will deliver the college’s commencement address and receive an honorary degree.

300,000 petitions. But, I’ve heard that most of the ND faculty is pro-choice. I don’t know if that’s true, but if so, that’s the poll that counts with Fr. Jenkins.

Just curious about something. Since ND is supposed to be a Catholic institution, I wonder how they can hire people who do not agree with Catholic teachings. I’m not saying that they should hire only Catholics but at least hire people who agree with the Church, at least on important issues and abortion is certainly one of them. The students at ND are being short-changed if they are going to ND for their education because it is a Catholic institution.

What will impact the pro death faculty and board is the fact that many of their expected donations, in the neighborhood of several million dollars has been denied or put on hold due to this decision. I think this will impact them even more than all the petitions. More reasons to pray.
