At 6:30 am on Saturday, December 22, while most were snug in bed, resting up for Christmas activities, veteran pro-lifer Ed Snell was arriving at Hillcrest Abortion Center, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He had come with two other activists to persuade women entering the clinic not to abort their pre-born children.

The group customarily meets at the clinic and has saved many lives. In fact, they have been so effective, that the clinic erected a 7-foot privacy fence to cut off all communication between the women and the pro-lifers. However, their efforts were scuttled, when the activists began bringing ladders so they could speak over the fence.

Mr. Snell, age 69, preferred to stand on a more solid foundation, so he constructed a plywood platform on the roof of his car to elevate him above the fence.

Yes, there is definitely something very wrong that they would not take the assailant into custody. He is quite right that had the assailant been pro-life and the injured party from the abortion center, they would have been arrested so fast their heads would spin. Mr. Snell is lucky to be alive.

I hope though that their ‘excellent lawyers’ will make sure that justice is done.

One thing that struck me was that this man was so very violent and insistent that this woman get an abortion, I feel very strongly that she was being forced into it.

Ohhhh, it gets me so mad.

Well I read part of the article and I must say that I am thoroughly disgusted! Why they did not arrest the assailant is beyond me! Disgusting behavior!

I drive by Hillcrest each morning on my way to work. This has just given me the push I needed to get myself down there on abortion Saturdays to join the movement. I will also call the HPD and local congressman to press the issue.

I remember hearing just a few weeks before Christmas on Relevant Radio that there was a new organization formed (something pertaining to Catholic Christian Anti Defamation league?) that is starting to aggressively fight and defend this kind of sometimes violent persecution. Sorry I am so bad with exact information at times…having more brain cramps as time goes on.:o 😃 Anyone hear about this organization?

Am afraid a lot of us feel the same way. So very frustrating, this persecution of Christians!

I am outraged at what that man did to the elderly gentleman, but as a police officer, I am also disgusted at the actions of that obviously pro-abortion officer that let the suspect go.

I don’t know what the statutes are called in Pennsylvania, but here in Oregon, I would have charged Assault II, a class B felony. How do you let someone go after that? My lieutenant almost arrested someone for Harrassment one day for pushing a street preacher and causing no injuries. The preacher didn’t want to press charges, so we let the guy go, but even just for that he was cuffed and detained. I cannot believe that officer let someone go without even talking to them after knocking someone unconscious and breaking bones.

In Christ,

I’m so angry right now after reading this that the only thing I can say is this:

Hail Mary full of grace the lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and all sinners, now and at the our of our death. Amen.

I’ll pray for justice.

But i have to say, although it’s only a tiny bit related, i’m watching family guy right now and they were watching Murder She Wrote. The lady (whoever the main character from MSW is) said something about how she had had an abortion in the past, and Peter says “Ah-ha…! So she’s the murderer!”

Thought that was funny.

A local newspaper ran an article about it yesterday.
The man, Nathan Richardson, 23, of Port Royal, scaled the fence and pushed Snell off his car, causing him to hit his head on the pavement, police said. Snell was taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where he was treated for head trauma before being released a few days later, police said.
When asked why Richardson was not arrested at the scene, Harrisburg Police Chief Charles Kellar said officers did not at first realize how serious Snell’s injuries were. Officers had planned to charge Richardson with simple assault, a misdemeanor that is often handled through a mail summons.
After learning the extent of Snell’s injuries, police charged Richardson with aggravated assault, a felony, along with reckless endangerment and simple assault, Kellar said. Richardson turned himself in at police headquarters and was released without bail on his promise to appear for court proceedings.
