Agreed. It is far from a good situation when Catholic teaching is an offense to many in a diocese - everyone is afraid to say a word.This point is highly debatable, since there seems to be many in the diocese who are extremely upset when someone espouses Catholic teaching.
A good job a communicating entails actually getting your message across. Speaking in a way so that no one gets upset, but never actually stating your message, is not good communicating. I have no idea of the job the previous archbishop did there, but just on the face of it we can’t determine if he did a better job than the current archbishop.
