That comment does sadden me, its sad to see how people beleive a life is punishment. But it sure does show how they realize there doing something wrong by having sex out of wedlock.
Its to bad that they are only seeing partial truths…

Your wish is my command my friend and brother. Even though I dont feel Im arguing with you about anything. I feel it’s discussing our Lords Word against the diffences of our own understandings of The Word. But if you see it as agruing I will respect that. Look we disagree on something else…😃

Spiders…:frighten: I hope I’m not a spider because I’m scared of spiders…
You know BM my Dad always said we are put on this earth to suffer. He said that Jesus was perfect and they killed him, what do you think they are going to do to you. But my Dad would never let us feel sorry for ourselves. He would always start about the man who didn’t have enough to eat which continued to the man who didn’t have any shoes the man who didn’t have any feet etc when he got done the man had no arm, feet, etc I am sure you know the story. One day I said can’t I at least feel sorry for myself one day Dad. He would say NO. He said when we suffer it is not a curse it is a blessing. When you suffer you are Gods People we are the chosen people. THis was not Gods world and it is not ours. Rejoice in that fact, because we get the next world. And thats forever. This life is short. This is the devils world and its for his people. Let them enjoy their time, wait for yours. It will be worth it. But for now take the test God gives you, ask for his grace to pass it. And use the resources God left you. Especially the Blessed Mother, Saints, etc they will help you. No one will ever beat God. Ever. But just because this is not our world we can still be happy and find happiness. But nothing will ever fully make us happy in this world ever. You will never find true lasing happiness in this world so forget about it. The only way anyone can ever be truely happy and fully happy is when God is with them. And thats the next. So wait for it, do the right thing, work to be the one that he callls home. When you understand that life isn’t really that bad anymore. I used to think that God was picking on me. I would say to Daddy then if hell in this world is for the chosen people God loves me. He would laugh. No he would say, with God you can and will make it. God is what makes a person never quit, never give in, never fall for long. God will carry you when you are weak and God will never let anyone hurt. But God will let the devil tempt you.

You know thats the thing, you and I will never stop abortion. Evil is evil.

Never say Never my sister. The worst thing we can do loose hope, besides thats a sin in itself…All things are possible to those who love God…

But Like i said alot of people that get them are not evil people, some are scared, etc. But what my point is why do we have to pay for some thing we totally disagree with. Why does our goverment dollars have to support these clinics.

Fortunatly we are not of this world, but unfortunatly we have to live in the world and part of living in the world is abiding the laws of the world. Thank God He looks at the heart and not the actions alone…Pray, Pray, Pray!

Why can’t they go to homes where a girl can go until she does have her baby and have people donate time to help these girls and find these babies homes. I agree not all can afford or for whatever reason raise these children, but we know God will provide these babies with loving parents.

I think there are people who are doing that, may God Bless them.

I wonder if we had a choice to have the goverment separate these tax dollars what people would support more. But either way why do we have to support murder. Look how they said the world would be too small, etc years ago, Yeah right. what happened. the opposite. Now people are paying millions to adopt any baby from poor countries, just to get a baby. Just think what that money could do in this country and the lives it could save. And everyone would be happy! Especially God. Then maybe people in this country would not have to take a pill for all the anxiety they have. They would be too busy helping others, and loving instead of hating everyone and everything.👍
That kinda sounds like when Jesus will return and show us how this world should have been ran. But we cant forget everything starts with sin in these abortions. Very few are conceived within a sanctified marriage. So really why should we expect a different outcome? Sin produces sin and more sin and more sin. Sin makes a soul walk away from God and His Grace so as long as a soul continues to keep walking away instead of towards God how will they ever stop sinning. There only hope is our intercession. We as children who walk towards God recieve access to His fountain of Graces and we as obedient children of God need to apply these graces through intercessory prayer for the ones who because of walking away from God stand no chance. These lives depend on US, we are the branches that will help these souls. Pray, do everything through Prayer…

I totally agree with everything you said pray pray pray. But I do believe that as long as there is sin in this world there is going to be evil. I don’t think it will ever end. But I do agree that praying for someone to find God and go to him can change so much. But I also feel that there are people that are not of God and will never be and are of the devil. I wish it were not true, but it is. God did give us freewill, and some will turn away because they are not his people. But all we can do is try, pray and just make sure we can do our best to be his people. But as long as these people exist they will do whatever to try to turn us away from God. So we have to be aware and on guard at all times that when bad things happen, it is because of the devil. But God can make something good out of an evil if you have enough faith in him. Its a frame of mind. But what I am saying is expect the worst, hope for the best. And know when the worst comes. and it will we all get our turn that God is there and it won’t be that bad. Look at Peter who did the devil try to get more than peter. He knew Peters love for God. The devil goes to Gods people. My dad said he does not worry about the evil people as much he already has them. He said once the devil has you he just lets you destroy yourself. But look how in the bible he picked on peter more than any other apostle.

**Hi rinnie, 👋

I love that story.

"When you’re down on your luck and you just spent your last buck there’s always someone else who has it even worse When you’ve gone completely mad and you’ve lost everything you had Look around and you’ll be glad it isn’t worse Your life could be an endless curse just look around. I once had no shoes to wear, Then I met a man who had no feet . I beat the heck out of him because I am lacktoes intolerant!

**Has anyone figured out how to get this thread back on track? I am ready to just give up 😃

So keeping in the tradition of not paying attention to the topic, I present the story called :“Take my Son”

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.

He said, “Sir, you don’t know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art.” The young man held out this package. “I know this isn’t much. I’m not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.”

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. “Oh, no sir, It is I that owes, I could never repay what your son did for me. It’s a gift.”

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. “We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?”

There was silence.

Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, “We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.”

But the auctioneer persisted. “Will somebody bid for this painting. Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?”

Another voice angrily. “We didn’t come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Goghs, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!”

But still the auctioneer continued. “The son! The son! Who’ll take the son?”

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. “I’ll give $10 for the painting.” Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

“We have $10, who will bid $20?”

“Give it to him for $10. Let’s see the masters.”

“$10 is the bid, won’t someone bid $20?”

The crowd was becoming angry. They didn’t want the picture of the son.

They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel. “Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!”

A man sitting on the second row shouted, “Now let’s get on with the collection!”

The auctioneer laid down his gavel. “I’m sorry, the auction is over.”

“What about the paintings?”

I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.

The man who took the son gets everything!"

We can use this story to remind people that God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is:

“The son, the son, who’ll take the son?”

Because, you see, in fact, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE…THAT’ S LOVE

Blessings my sister***

We must remember evil is just a word for the absence of Good or God… Sin doesn’t make evil, evil makes sin. And your right there will always be evil because people will always refuse God’s invitation.

Man will suffer and man must suffer. We are purified through our sufferings. Our suffering are the refiners fire. So when we start to look at the “worst” as being for our “best” we will start to realize that there is nothing bad for a child of God. These things that cause us friction and rub us the wrong way and cause us pressure are what is needed to turn a lump of coal into a diamond. And the other ingredient is TIME. It takes Time, it doesnt happen over night and it doesnt happen just once. Its our race, the race we are running. That is why I always pray that the souls will have more time to repent, they will have mercy and the graces needed to convert. That is why our most Blessed Mother plea’s God to withhold His hand of judgement and not gives us the justice yet. She knows the more time we have the more perfected we will come and hopefully many will be presented as diamonds to our King.

If there are vessals of bad that God has created then He and He alone know who they are. So we as children never should make the judgement by looking at there actions to know who is who. We are to assume they will convert and will bare fruit…If we dont have hope what do we have?

Peace***

Hiyas,

I voted this thread 5 👍👍👍👍👍

My defenders of Church - Faith in action, are awesome.🙂
Off topic at times, but it allows kids to see, behind the reasoning, love, compassion, passion within … those Grwnups teaching us.

It has given me an opportunity to think, research, and reinforce.
A truly refreshing experience, for me.

Thank you for teaching me.

Oh but Chris you are great! If my Dad was here he had a saying for you. One of those faces only a Mother could love it! :rotfl: You guys do keep me in laughing!:blessyou:
Especially when the baby looks so much like the mother, they look like siblings.😃

Hi Killie, 👋

Did some of these guys get off topic?[looking around the thread] Well, actually it was going good until the christmas party rinnie brought over some wine, and you can see how Chris is. One gallon of wine and he was under the table! Even after that it was still going good until chris started posting baby pictures…

I have a picture of dear old Mom I will post. But when my baby picture was taken I was Naked  We all know how the Mods are, I don’t dare show it!😃

Of course there is proof for praying to saints. As Scripture indicates, those in heaven are aware of the prayers of those on earth. This can be seen, for example, in Revelation 5:8, where John depicts the saints in heaven offering our prayers to God under the form of “golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.”

But if the saints in heaven are offering our prayers to God, then they must be aware of our prayers. They are aware of our petitions and present them to God by interceding for us.

Some have tried to argue that in this passage the prayers being offered were not addressed to the saints in heaven, but directly to God. Yet that argument only strengthens the fact that those in heaven can hear our prayers, for then the saints are aware of our prayers even when they are not directed to them!

In any event, it is clear from Revelation 5:8 that the saints in heaven do actively intercede for us. We are explicitly told by John that the incense they offer to God are the prayers of the saints. Prayers are not physical things and cannot be physically offered to God. Thus the saints in heaven are offering our prayers to God mentally. In other words, they are interceding on our behalf.

I don’t care what Chris says!

God Bless **

Hi kimmie, Also in 956 of the CCC It shows how the intercession of saints being more closely united to Christ, those who dwell in heaven fix the whole church more firmly in holiness.

I think you can learn alot from RC. But I don’t think I would drink with him If I were you. I know he blames me for the wine, but Chris brought some too. I think his gram made it. How about RC"S baby picture huh! :rotfl: My Mother is a beautiful women and always says beauty is only skin deep. But Daddy always said yea but uglyness is to the bone. My Mother always said beauty fades away, and My dad always said yeah but uglyness holds its own. What do you think of RC. Ya think hes holding his own.

I had a baptist friend who called wine the devil juice. I never agreed. But after Chris’s grams I must re-think my reasoning. I kept looking at RC and thinking different things. Like I know God created us all, but the more I looked at RC I CAN see how people could think we all came from apes, you know what I mean.

And Chris kept asking me what I thought of his lips. All I could think of is loose lips sink ships but

And you are what you eat, what kind of saying is that. RC was eating banana’s banana chips, banana bread. You know what I mean.

Well I must go back to work. Have a great day.

Okay, I’ll get back on topic.

Why pray to saints, if Jesus Himself said we can go directly to the Father through Him?
