That on the Last Day when the whole world is destroyed, everyone who is living, whether they are good or bad, will be killed together.

I do not see any issue at all that so many Muslims were killed in the tsunami of December 2004.
The point is that your claim has been proven false. Mosques were not the only buildings which survived the tsunami. So did hotels, small traditional buildings, and sturdy brick buildings of all kinds.

At the same time, only a handful of Mosques survived. 85 Mosques were severely damaged.

So, your original claim is proven false. There is no miracle as you claim.

Nor is the Quran a miracle as has been proven in its lack of eloquence, its many contradictions, its lack of evidence to substantiate the validity of Mohammed’s claims and its being traceable not to Mohammed but to Uthman.

Sincerely,

De Maria

Those 85 mosques were only in the region of Sri Lanka. The total number of mosques severely damaged and/or destroyed by the Tsunami would be much higher.

However, as miraculous as these pictures appear, the Qur’an will always remain the greatest miracle in Islam and it is indeed the ultimate proof of the Truth of Islam.
Umm… yeahh… Islam is full of lies, so is the quran, so the truth here is, the lies support each other…
Those who wish to know if Islam is really the Truth, all that they really need to do is to examine and test the Qur’an and thereby determine for themselves whether or not it comes from the Creator Himself.
Yes, its is constantly examined here, and constantly debunked…
Now please wait whilst i go and google the churches that have survived natural disasters…

Coconut trees will sway in the wind and are able to withstand being bombarded by huge waves because they have a very flexible trunk.

Are you saying that small wooden mosques have similarly highly flexible pillars and roofs that prevents them from being swept away by monster waves?
Here we see other buildings that were not destroyed, so you’ve proven nothing!

How about small brick & mortar mosques then which survived with walls and roofs intact, in the midst of similarly contructed brick & mortar buildings which were all completely destroyed and swept away leaving behind only their concrete foundations?
This is the picture that I was referring to:

And also, the following is the mosque at ‘Ground Zero’ i.e. the location nearest to the epicentre of the earthquake which caused the massive tsunami.

As you can see by the utter devastation around it, there is really no logical scientific explanation whatsoever why this mosque should still exist.

You have to show what the place looked like before the Tsunami. The stone remains around the stone Mosque are very minimal. Looks like only the mosque is entirely made of stone.

To all Jews and Christians here, although you might not realise this initially but ask yourself this question:

Do not the pictures of these seemingly indestructible mosques give much credibility to the story of the Exodus and indeed helps people visualize how easy it was for the Lord to split the sea to enable Moses (pbuh) and the ancient Israelites to escape their pursuers?

I would say that modern-day miracles are every bit as awe-inspiring as those described in ancient scriptures, don’t you agree?

In one word, NO! There is no similarity between the two events. neither do I see that the mosques survived is a miracle since less sturdy buildings managed to survive as well.

Are you so insecure about your religion, that you have to use things as these to bolster your faith??

It would have been a greater miracle if the waters had destroyed the building and spared the worhsippors. God split the sea to save a people, not a building. If I thought that God intervened on that day and simply saved a mosque or two, I might not ever utter a prayer again.

Somone sold a piece of toast on Ebay for $5,000.00 because it contained the face of Jesus on it (they claimed).

I woke up this morning and everything worked. The sun rose and there was food on my table. Hallalujha.

Don’t Jews and Christians believe in the Last Day when the whole world will come to an end and all life on the planet will be extinguished?

For me, the Message that these pictures tell is just so loud and clear i.e. on the Last Day when the world is destroyed, the only thing that will survive will be the gateway to Paradise… and that is Islam.

Woe betides those who willingly CHOOSE to ignore their Creator’s warning.

whatever. you are the only guy in this forum silly enough to see a miracle here:

Your senselessness is reinforcing islam’s bad reputation.

Miracles, paricles, charicles! All of the world’s faiths can ‘prove’ miracles. In the time of Moses Jehovah killed the oldest son in every Egyptian home (a rather gruesome miracle, I think!). Mary was born without sin and was ‘assumpted’ into heaven. Many evangelical Protestants claim all manner of miraculous healing. Islam, Hinduism, etc., are chuck full of supernatural works of wonder!
Code:
I am a devout Christian who tries to follow the Christian path, but I have to wonder about miracles attributed to Jesus - walking on water, feeding of the 5000, causing the blind to see, healing the 10 lepers, etc. My guess is that in those ancient times such stories spread quickly because of the devotion of the early Christians. All the mystery religions of that era had such miracles. We even have legends about our national heroes - e. g., Washington could never tell a lie. And consider all the myths abroad about the assassination of JFK or the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. Even the modern mind can easily fall prey to false and even wild stories.

Many Catholics today get all excited about modern-day miracles, often involving apparitions of Mary. Excuse me if I am a doubter. And evangelicals can become enamoured with evangelists who claim to cure everything from arthritis to cancer. No wonder so many people scoff at religion. Too often reasonable people simply find its claims unreasonable.

  Two quick points:

 (1) To survive, Christianity and Islam need to discard many of its pious myths inherited from ancient times. These myths often serve as valuable parables with keen spiritual insight (such as the Adam and Eve story). Only a small percentage of Jews believe their traditional myths. Most Jews I know feel an ethnic connection to their history but have little association with Orthodox Judaism.

  (2) To survive, Christianity, Islam and Judaism need to find peace among themselves. It is quite outrageous that these Abrahamic religions, sharing so much in common, are so often enemies. If we all cleaned up our respective acts, emphasized peace, justice, humanitarian outreach, and what we share in common, what a different world this could be.

  Keep smiling.

If we choose to ignore the message it’s because we don’t believe that it came from the Creator, but from the fictitious “god” created by a false prophet who suffered from megalomania!

Hamba2han, if i were you, i’d stop IMMEDIATELY the discussion of the tsunami.

Why??

BTW, the domes of mosques are hollow structures and are often made of light and thin material like alluminium foil or plaster.

How then can these domes survive the battering of 90-foot high waves?

Like I asked, are not modern-day miracles just as awe-inspiring and jaw-dropping as the miracles described in ancient scriptures?

As I am no expert on the physics of a tsunami, I cannot exactly say. I can, however, refer you to video taken from a hotel at that time. Some of the waves that came in were the “wall of water” type, but more were of a slow, building engulfment, almost like overfilling a tub. Here in Alabama, we have tornados most of the year. I have seen these storms skip houses, destroy only one side of a street, shoot blades of grass into a tree like nails, and more. I do not attribute any of this to a miracle.

who said a 90 foot wave crashed through that mosque? look at the coconut trees… the branches…they are unmolested. there were many video clips of the tsunami, and in most of them the waves were like 5 to 15 feet high only.

stop trying to decieve us already! 😃
