I don’t think that it is so much upsetting to us as it is rather strange. It seems like some Muslims go through mental and linguistics gymnastics to proove that they can translate something a certain way or that somethign can proove they are correct. I do not see any Hindus or Buddhists agreeing with any of these translations. It is also strange that these faiths are only inspired when you can put your prophet into them. I am not sure that it can work that way. Either they can be trusted as inspired or they cannot. To many of us in the Christian world, the belief system either makes sense or it does not. It is hard to pursuade us to change our thinking with shot in the dark types of things.

I have a great deal of respect for Islam and for many Muslims. I just have a hard time wrapping my mind around a lot of things about it. Hopefully, I can learn more about your faith.

Mental and linguistics gymnastics, you say??

Muslims see Christian attempts at explaining the doctrine of the Trinity in very much the same light.
I do not see any Hindus or Buddhists agreeing with any of these translations.
The problem with Hindus is that they do not read their own scriptures and in fact, hardly any common Hindu will be able to read Sanskrit, the language of their scriptures.

If you wish to know how well Hindus understand their own religion, there is really a very simple test for this i.e. just ask a random few of them how many deities do they worship?

You will very likely indeed hear them give different answers ranging anywhere from worshipping just one God to worshipping hundreds or thousands or even millions of deities depending on which Hindu you ask.

If Hindus cannot even agree on how many deities they worship, then how on earth can they be expected to understand much about the ‘Kalki Autar’ (Last Prophet) prophesied in their very own scriptures?

The problem is you fail to understand what the trinity is about. We explain it pretty well actually, Muslims just fail to understand it.

So your saying Muslims can interpret Hindu scriptures better than a Hindu can? H2H your getting funnier by the moment!
Muslims pick and choose ways of seeing what they want in scriptures to their liking, turn it around to their way and think its about their prophets.
Seriously, i think Hindu’s understand their scripture more than Muslims can, and that goes the same for Catholics, we have a lot better understanding of our scriptures than any Muslim has.
You dont like it when we tell you how we see your scriptures, so do you think we like it when you see our scriptures through rose coloured glasses? No.
H2H, i really dont understand if Muslims think the quran is correct, why would they look at other scriptures they think is false for their prophets?
Or perhaps there is some truth to where Mohammed actually got his insperation for Islam from… other scriptures… hmmm

So your saying Muslims can interpret Hindu scriptures better than a Hindu can?
A Hindu who attended Dr. Zakir Naik’s lecture on the similarities between Hinduism and Islam earnestly remarked that he learned a lot more about Hinduism during the few hours of Dr. Zakir’s talk than all what he knew throughout the 40-plus years of his life being a Hindu and he is certainly not a lone voice among the Hindu community in India.

Like I said, extremely few Hindus actually know how to read Sanskrit and therefore the vast majority of Hindus simply do not know what is written in their own Hindu scriptures.

And on another note, here is an excerpt of a Reuters report from the town of Hambantota in Sri Lanka which was sent a few days after it was hit by the tsunami:

… Virtually nothing of the town remains.

The telecoms tower, slightly crooked at its base has, astonishingly, already been repaired. A small green mosque miraculously seemed to have escaped much damage, although the force and height of the water was such that the blades of its ceiling fans now hang down like a gnarled claw.

About five or six other buildings along the beach are still recognisable as having once been a shop or home, but the rest have been smashed into billions of pieces of broken bricks, twisted metal, shattered glass and splintered wood…

One Hindu learns from Dr. Zakir and you draw the conclusion that Muslims know more about Hindu Scriptures than Hindus?

Wow! More miracles.

The arrogance of Muslims knows no bounds. They interpret the Bible for us, the Hindu Scriptures to the Hindu and they’re Mosques are the only buildings which are never harmed in natural disasters.

All of which are false. We have proven over and over that more vastly more Mosques were destroyed than survived. Muslms know nothing about the Bible and Muslms can’t even prove the validity of their own Scriptures.

As evidence, I point to the fact that H2H has never even addressed the argument that Mohammed had no supporting evidence for his claim of an angel reciting to him the Quran. A claim which amounts to hearsay evidence. A type of evidence which is inadmissible in any court of law.

And he futhre has never addressed the question of Uthman’s rescension being an inadmissible copy of a malicously destroyed original. Maliciously destroyed because the he didn’t want the original Quran to be compared to his copy.

And I begin to wonder why so many predominantly Muslim countries are being struck by tsunamis. Its as though God is saying,if you raise a Mosque, the sea will swallow you and lieave the Mosque as evidence of your wrong doing.

Sincerely,

De Maria

Did all mosques survived the tsunami or any other natural disasters?

NO, of course not… and not once did I ever say that all mosques miraculously survived the tsunami in Indonesia or the earthquake in Turkey.

And are all Muslims entering Paradise in the Hereafter?

Unfortunately, NO… and no Muslim should tell you otherwise.

Just like not all Muslims are equal in piety and deeds in the eyes of their Creator, so too it may be that Allah does not see all mosques as being equal in status since some of them might have been built with funds obtained from forbidden sources(?) or they may have been built and maintained with less than the noblest of intentions perhaps(?)… or some other reason which only Allah knows best.

Many mosques were indeed miraculously saved in the tsunami… but there is no denying the fact that many others did not.

Muslims have no problem at all understanding this.

Thanks for taking back virtually everything that you said in this thread.

You missed one however. You also said that “only Mosques” had survived these catastrophes. Whereas we have proved that many other buildings also survived such as hotel buildings, domestic homes, and other structures. Therefore, either these buildings are also miracles or there were no miracles at all.

Sincerely,

De Maria

Put it this way – if science can explain how these buildings survived, then it is not a miracle.

However, if science cannot provide a logical explanation why they survive, then perhaps it was also a miracle.

BTW, strictly from a Muslim perspective, it was not only mosques which survived the tsunami… but there were also many religious schools and the homes of a number of pious people (and also the tombs of the departed) which miraculously survived the onslaught of those waves.

If science could explain it would it be accepted? Have any holy, devout Muslims ever died in a natural disaster? Have any starved to death?

We use OUR OWN scriptures to defend the Trinity. I see you using other people’s to prove your point. I ask: are the other writings inspired by God? If so, can I safely become Buddhist or Hindu without fear of damnation? If they are only inspired when proving your point, the argument is invalid. All or none when it comes to Sacred Scriptures

it became clear that the Islamic reasoning is the opposite. Islamically, you do not check the good money first and then find out the forged one…no, you accept the forged one as valid and declare everything else corrupt.

So basically, is the Bible inspired ? answer : where the Quran agrees it is the word of Allah, When it does not, it is the corruption of men.

Is the Hindu scripture inspired? answer : it seems Allah did inspire only some passages and the rest is the work of men.

ecc ecc.

This is Allah and this is Islam, in a nutshell.

Science has explained also why the Mosques survived. The same reason that the other buildings survived. The problem is that you’ve closed your mind to the scientific explanation because you want to insist on the miraculous.

But it remains another unsubstantiated claim.

And many hotels and other nonreligious buildings. So, it is all explainable as in the natural order. Your insistence that it was a miracle is simply your refusal to accept the truth. But the truth is true whether you believe it or not.

Sincerely,

De Maria

Hamba,

Since you believe in miracles, have you ever studied the history of miracles in the Catholic Church?

The Scriptures say:
Code:
                                            [John 14:12](http://www.whereinthebible.org/index.php?bookId=50&chapterId=14&verseId=12&page=1#x)
Otherwise believe for the very works' sake. Amen, amen I say to you, he that believeth in me, the works that I do, he also shall do; and greater than these shall he do.
The Catholic Church has the longest documented record of miracles of any religion. Catholic Saints have performed miracles since the time of the Apostles. Many miracles can still be seen today, like the Shroud of Turin, the Tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe, many Eucharistic miracles, many Saints whose remains are miraculously preserved, the miracles of Lourdes and many other miracles.

Unlike the mriacles you have provided, these have been studied scientifically and no known explanation can be observed.

Since you believe in miracles, is there any reason why you would reject these?

Sincerely,

De Maria

Oh, you wish to see a picture of a small wooden mosque which survived in the midst of concrete buildings which were completely destroyed by the monster waves?
I need to cut the picture to make it shorter. Why don’t we ask Dr. Zakir’s opinion about the picture. Since the wave was on Dec 26th, he might conclude the Christian God failed to destroy the Islamic God, would he not?

**Comforter The Lord Jesus said would come after him was the The Holy Spirit-The Spirit of Truth.Mohammad Was No spirit. This is what the Lord said about the Comforter or the Helper who was to come after him."But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."John;14;26

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John;14;15-18

Just Before Being Taken Up Into Heaven Lord Jesus Commanded His disciples -not to depart from Jerusalem, "But to wait for the Promise of the Father,"which, He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Acts;1;4,5

Did the disciples of Jesus wait for Mohammad in Jerusalem for the next 600 years? No,They waited in Jerusalem and received the Holy Spirit as Jesus had told them who gave them the power to go into the uttermost parts of the earth and preach the Gospel to all nations. The Comforter who is the Holy Spirit came 10 days after Jesus was received up into heaven.

It was not for Mohammad but for the Holy Ghost they waited in Jerusalem. And when The Comforter came the early churches and "were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied."Acts;9;31-The Acts of the Apostles says. The Holy Spirit or the Comforter was not sent to make another religion. But to comfort edify and teach and guide the disciples of Jesus Christ and to give them the power to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God to all nations.

The Comforter, the Lord said.“Who will be with you and in you.” He came to be with the believers forever.“The world cannot see him or know Him.” John;14; Spirit Of Truth,or The Comforter Is Not Mohammad !The Comforter is also The Spirit of Truth. The Truth is God Himself. So the Spirit of Truth is God’s Spirit. He is not a man.

He is invisible. Was Mohammad invisible?

He was sent to be with the believers forever. He will teach and guide and comfort the believers as long as they are in the world.

Is Mohammed with anyone or within anyone forever as Lord Jesus spoke?

As a man’s spirit is a part of himself. Spirit of God is One with God Himself. What happened in the Book of Acts 2 was the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy.”I will pour out my Spirit on all people.Your sons and daughters will prophecy…”Joel;2;28

So as the Muslims think Holy Spirit or the Comforter whom Lord Jesus sent was not Mohammad. He is one with The Triune God. Anyone who claims that Mohammad is the Comforter or the Spirit of Truth Lord Jesus spoke about, is trying to make Mohammad God.

Jesus Came Not For Jews Alone But As The Savior Of The World ! **

The angels celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ.Singing and rejoicing they tod the world about the great Joy that will come to ALL PEOPLE-because of the birth of the Savior of the world. That is for the whole world. This is what happened-

"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for ALL THE PEOPLE. Today in the town of David a SAVIOUR has been born to you; he is Christ , the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Luke;1;9-14
When baby Jesus was brought into the temple in Jerusalem Simeon the elder took him in his hands and praised God saying, "For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel."Luke;2;30

Gospel of John says "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son.that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.’"John;3;16 When John the baptist saw Jesus he said,"Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world."John;1;29 Jesus died on the cross bearing the sins of all mankind. He did not die for a particular nation or people but for the whole world. The Holy Bible makes it very clear that Jesus Chrsit is the salvation God prepared for all peoples.[Luke;2;30] And again the Gospel of John says,"But to all who did receive Him,He gave them the right to be children of God,to those who believe in His name,"John;1;12 Any person who receives Jesus Christ and believes in him is a son or daughter of God.

After the resurrection Lord Jesus told the disciples “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.” Mathew;28;19,20 Lord Jesus Christ himself spoke these words,“God did not sent his son into the world to comdemn the world but the world through him might be saved.” John; 3;16, So Jesus did not come for Israel only as some people think but He came as the Saviour of the world. He is the Lord of all.

So, please tell me how Mohammed could be the comforter and why would God have told them to wait 600 years?

**ralph, you may become a hindu or budhist or any other category. Just be patient and peaceful and keep reading the scripture of the faith you hold (It may be your own faith i.e. the Catholic church), there is no harm.

As you will study your scripture carefully, you will be informed about many realities and many fantacies. You will be better off in the end. You will be rewarded.

But if you feel that Hindu religion is not good or it is not good for you then do not become a Hindu. You can always become a Jew any time.**
