I know of no example. I know of Catholic - Protestant - Catholic. I know many Protestant - Protestant - Protestant (ad infinitum).
As far as cherry picking tangent, lets stay charitable. The term “proof texting” is used for a quote to support and idea with a quote. Catholics tend to know parables or longer stories. We read more Bible than a protestant service. Also, all our prayers are a mixture of TONS of Biblical language. However, we tend not to know where it came from.
If you want to talk to our Protestant Brothers and Sisters it is much better to do so using, at least initially, the language they know and are used to. I would say Catholics don’t memorize proof texts enough. Exactly because it is so effective in talking with Protestants. Talking about how the arc of the covenant is a metaphor for Mary is not much use. However, “But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?” James 2:20 is a fun starting place.
Blessings.
