Fundamentalism is 3rd tier Protestantism that truly have nothing in common with the 1st century Church. Read the Fathers and you would see seven Sacraments, and the Real presence in the Eucharist. Sola Scriptura was a concept completely foreign to them, as was so called “eternal security”. Modern Fundamentalists are not formal heretics, because to be a heretic you actually have to be Catholic first, but they do cling to heretical teachings.Polemics limit discourse.
