Because no matter what Benedict does, for people like you it will never be enough. Leave the man alone, he is the Vicar of Christ. A good man. A holy man. I’d worry more about your own soul.
Read my previous posts. I said I admired him when I heard him criticizing Islam. But my admiration turned to disappointment when he succombed to muslim pressure.

I think Pope Benedict is a man full of the holy spirit and full of the love of Jesus Christ.

I saw him in an interview which was recorded a few years ago, where he was interviewed by Raymond Arroyo. It is exciting to see that my ignorance of the Catholic Church is wrong. He is so full of the Holy Spirit and obviously has a personal relationship with the Lord that I have no problem with it and am closer to getting my Catholic baptised children go through the holy communion.
😃

just curious…how can you tell if a person is full of the holy spirit? 🤷
Hi
I don’t know what others say, but for me I just know by his eyes and his general air about him (no pun intended). I just feel it…faith.

👍

Does anyone have a link to the speech? Where he addressed the scandal? A transcript perhaps?
Found my own answer.

TRANSCRIPT HERE.

Abbreviated article from Catholic Zenit.org here.

I’m afraid I can’t trust the regular media to get this one right…especially not lately (i.e. articles claiming the Vatican “added” new sins, the Pope’s revised prayer is insulting to Jews, etc…)

It’s possible. But you would not understand. You are clearly the first person who claims to be from the Philippines who really is a pain in the A…

Agnos, I never thought about the Holy Spirit when I left Catholicism at age 18 until I returned 40 years later which was 3 years ago. God softened me up with the study of psychology and Buddhist philosophy enough over time so that my hatred of Christianity would not dominate my thoughts and actions when confronted with their presence.
Then the Holy Spirit hit me so hard I could see and feel all the shame I had accumulated over my life through public and private thoughts and actions that had harmed others due to my selfish and self-serving motivation to seek pleasure instead of truth.
Humility is the way the Holy Spirit comes to us. When our defenses are weakened and we become aware of our meaningless and selfish way of living, the Holy Spirit is there to fill the void that is created in our pain with human relationships. When we are able to take a risk and soften our hearts to ourselves and others that is when the Holy Spirit becomes most palpable and will fill us with the passion to know Truth. This is what awakens me every morning; the passion to know the Love of God and pray that everyone opens to His Love.
When I look into another person’s eyes I can tell whether or not that person is guided by the Holy Spirit. The first sign is humility. When I see a message written I can tell if it is with the Holy Spirit if it is written with humility.
I am finished for now because I could go on infinitum.

Well said my brother, I hope and pray that Agnos is touched by the Holy Spirit and he sincerely does seek the truth.

Thank you John for your kind words. I just love the Holy Spirit who is the ultimate introvert; not wanting praise, only wanting our hearts and minds to be passionately connect to the Truth of God’s Love that comes through the Holy Spirit.
It felt like such a blessing just now to be called brother. Thank you for that blessing.
Pope Benedict is also an introvert because he only seeks to teach what he learns about God’s Love. I can tell it is difficult for him to receive the adulation he has gotten here because as an introvert we know how much we fall short of being face to face with God.
