Protestant protesters disrupt Masses throughout Las Vegas (warning: autoplay video)

It happened last month in other diocese of this country too:
 
Pray for their conversion to the Church Christ established.
 
Probably inaccurate to call them Protestant. I highly doubt they’d consider themselves as such and these types tend to protest many actual Protestant churches with as much zeal that they protest Catholic Churches.

Iconoclastic Sola Scripturalists would be one way to describe them. They tend to hate any of the large established Christian religions, particularly those in the liturgical/creedal tradition. And the guy filming who was formerly Muslim seems to have a particular focus on any kind of statue or image even more so than the typical example of this type of person like the guy he’s following around or other street preachers I’ve come across in this vein.
 
Anti-Catholic protesters have repeatedly invading several Catholic Churches during mass, interrupting services, shouting out loudly that Catholicism is evil and useless, terrifying and disturbing those at mass. Police say they aren’t breaking any law and they can’t do anything. The group doing this has filmed their own acts carried out in Catholic churches and posting it.

We are going to have to bring back porters to guard the doors and protect us from intruders during Mass.

what do they mean they can’t do anything about it? I bet if it were Christians going into a mosque they would do something.
 
do they know for sure they are Muslims that have actually converted? Isn’t ISIS responsible for destroying historical religious shrines and statues and don’t they see idols as blasphemous?
 
Serious question: how bad would it be for someone to engage in physicality under these circumstances? It might be spiritually invigorating to give someone a beat down in that situation. F’real. I’m not being sarcastic or facetious.
 
Sounds to me like another Protestant denomination. Strange behavior, though.
 
I have no knowledge of how many parishioners are armed. Many citizens in Las Vegas have permits for concealed carry, and some of those permittees are Catholic.

I am willing to bet that some of the parishioners who were disturbed in prayer were concerned about their safety, and that at least one was thinking about the gun he had holstered on his belt!

It would be a terrible thing to have to defend yourself with deadly force in Church.

Suppose it’s possible. But they’re not alone. Seen videos of similar preachers who were former Catholics or other destroying Catholic statues of Mary and the like too. So it’s not a uniquely former Muslim trait but one shared by many of these “street preachers”.
 
The proper response would be for the Mass to be temporarily paused for a recitation of the Nicene Creed. This can be repeated as many times as necessary for the instructions to sink in.

so they call themselves “street preachers” and there are others who do this too - go to Catholic churches and tell Catholics how bad the Catholic church is?

Yep, seen videos of them all over YouTube. There’s groups in SoCal, Washington State, Washington DC, and apparently Vegas that do this type of thing (though the entering the church so far is unique to Vegas and DC from what I’ve seen. They protest Catholic Churches during mass, Catholic conferences, etc… And also Anglican churches as well so you’re not alone in having their ire.

It is against the law in Nevada:

NRS 207.200  Unlawful trespass upon land; warning against trespassing. 
Goes upon the land or into any building of another with intent to vex or annoy the owner or occupant thereof, or to commit any unlawful act; or
Code: 
  (b) Willfully goes or remains upon any land or in any building after having been warned by the owner or occupant thereof not to trespass,
is guilty of a misdemeanor

The police should arrest every single one of them
