Who are the Protestant saints that Catholics admire?

William WilberforceGeorge Fox and Elizabeth Fry come to mind. And the Methodist who was instrumental in stopping the English slave trade.
John Wesley who started orphanages, hospitals and led 10.000s to Christ a prolific author who died worth $34. an incredible story.I have strong respect for several protestant leaders/theologians including Billy Graham, John Wesley, Soren Kierkegaard, CS Lewis, Dr. Cheryl Johns (one of my former seminary professors) down to my Sunday school teachers I had growing up. These people are evidence to me that the Spirit of God works in all Christians in all bodies.
I believe as someone coming into the church at this Easter Vigil, that I will be moving towards having the fullness of truth. However, I embrace all Christians as fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, especially when I see the Lord working in their lives.
Someone who led and incredibly Godly life.Nowadays in the Catholic Church, a Saint is somebody who has performed a miracle before and after their death. This has to be strictly examined and confirmed by authorities (incl the Pope) in the Catholic Church.
What’s a Protestant Saint? I don’t think I know any.
Allow meYou know, this is a really difficult thread for me. I can’t think of any Protestants that I admire in a spiritual or religious sense.
Can I say Bob Geldolf or Bono (from U2)? I appreciate their charitable causes - albeit they don’t really have a religious agenda. There also other pop groups, like the band Boney M; I like their songs - particular “Mary’s Boy Child” and “By the rivers of Babylon”.
But I guess I can’t get emotionally attached to any Protestant Saint because I have resentment towards them for not being a part of the Church that - I believe - was founded by Christ.
This is an interesting thread; I’ll be interested to see if any Catholics submit their response for a favourite Protestant Saint. (So far, I don’t think any Catholics have responded.)

Bono is in fact from a mixed marriage and while remarkable respectful to the Catholic Church, showing a great deal of good will, identifies himself just as “Christian” with a rather Protestant view of the definition. He grew up attending Anglican services with his mum.Bob Geldof doesn’t seem to be religious at all, and I understand Bono is Catholic.
Bono was raised in Dublin alongside his brother, Norman Hewson, by his mother, Iris (née Rankin), a Church of Ireland Anglican, and his father, Brendan Robert “Bob” Hewson, a Roman Catholic.[2][3] His parents initially agreed that the first child would be raised Anglican and the second Catholic. [19] However, although Bono was the second child, he also attended Church of Ireland services with his mother and brother.[19]
Bono does get a great deal of respect from me for his ideals and hard work.In 2005, he told Rolling Stone that “I believe there’s a force of love and logic…behind the universe. And I believe in the poetic genius of a creator who would choose to express such unfathomable power as a child born in ‘straw poverty’; i.e., the story of Christ makes sense to me.” He added, “I guess that would make me a Christian. Although I don’t use the label, because it is very hard to live up to. I feel like I’m the worst example of it, so I just kinda keep my mouth shut.”

I am Catholic so all I can say it is up to God. I cannot judge a person’s soul, and especially with people outside the Church, it is better to just urge people to become Catholic.
God judges, we are just instruments He can use to bring people closer to Him.
There is a slight chance that some have had perfect repentance and humilty at the time of their death and God gave them the opportunity to fully embrace Him. He always gives souls chances to be united to Him as He desires all men to be saved.
I cannot think of any Protestants that I know who lived extremely holy lives, but who knows, God is ever merciful and works in many ways. I pray for everyone especially those outside the Church, that they may submit to Christ and His truth.
There are probably some who have. We do not know what most people have experienced or done, right before they died. That is between them and God.
Does the same formula apply to your RC saints?

Catherine Marshall has always been one of my favorite Protestant authors. I also admire the lives of Corrie and Betsie Ten Boom.I have several “Catholic” saints who I admire.
