Not that I know of.Are there any two Protestant denominations that agree completely on each other’s doctrines?
I wonder if any of the “Apostolic” churches agree completely?

Unbiblical was a bad word to use. My apologies. Not ‘unbiblical’ meaning damning, but ‘unbiblical’ meaning what should be the main focus of a corporate body of believers or a local church. Sorry for the confusion. You use the term “unbiblical”. So apparently you believe the Bible teaches that one should not care what another teaches. Yet this idea seems unbiblical, since the Apostle said:
2 Peter 2 1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be among you lying teachers, who shall bring in sects of perdition, and deny the Lord who bought them: bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Timothy 4 3 For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears:
So I agree that we are to work for God’s Kingdom. But apparently, we are also to preach, teach, reprove, rebuke and correct those who preach false doctrine:
2 Timothy 4
2 Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine.
Correct me if I’m wrong.
If its not too personal, what does “COGHOBDOJ” stand for? Tell me it isn’t your real name?
Sincerely,
De Maria
Source for 30,000? For that matter, source for 1 Catholic church?Just my two cents…30,000 denominations of Protestanism, and only one Catholic church. Which would Jesus use??
Which would you choose… Many avenues to bring people to Him or one that a lot of people don’t trust for whatever reason… My belief is that Christ will use all that profess that He is the Savior of us all. Christ uses the picture of us all being the body of Christ. Tell me, if that is the case then it would make sense that EVERY part of Him has a different roll. The arms are not meant to function like the eyes and the spleen has an entirely different use than the arch of the foot. Yet it works as a whole to move Christ throughout this world. Why one part of the body wants to disassociate itself from the rest is beyond me…Just my two cents…30,000 denominations of Protestanism, and only one Catholic church. Which would Jesus use??

Jesus’ wish was that we would all be “one”…not 33,001.Just my two cents…30,000 denominations of Protestanism, and only one Catholic church. Which would Jesus use??
All Apostolic Churches agree completely. Not that I know of.
I wonder if any of the “Apostolic” churches agree completely?
In other words, what if The Church that Jesus started stuck to His words, while another church “protested” their work? What if a church’s main mission and vision was to bring the lost to Christ by sharing the Gospel? What if a church’'s main focus was loving on the poor, orphaned and the widow?
What if a church thought is was fruitless and unbiblical to focus on what they believe versus what other churches believed because that would take time away from doing what God REALLY wanted us to do, as a church?
HiJesus’ wish was that we would all be “one”…not 33,001. And that’s how Christianity was as long as there were only Catholics.
HiPaarsurrey- Your Faith is Muslim and your sect/denomination Ahmadi?
Where do your people stand in relation with Shia and Sunni?.
I think as a corporate body of believers, the Universal Catholic Church keeps its focus on doing works of mercy. It is only recently that Catholics have been called to more emphasis on Evangelizing by word. In the past the emphasis has been on Evangelizing by deeds.Unbiblical was a bad word to use. My apologies. Not ‘unbiblical’ meaning damning, but ‘unbiblical’ meaning what should be the main focus of a corporate body of believers or a local church.
No problem.Sorry for the confusion.![]()
Thats true. But I think reasonable men can discuss these things reasonably and arrive at the truth. I invite you to join in these discussions. I believe you have made a grave error in leaving the Church of your birth. All your scriptures I agree with. I guess many people have disagreements with what “doctrines” are. I think the Apostles Creed is a good starting point. How to conduct a service/mass or the issue of Sacraments seem to be hot topics for arguments and debates.
Its not my real name actually. I selected it in conformance with a wonderful Catholic tradition where men take Mary’s name as their own, St. Louis Marie De Montfort is one example.P.S. My first priest was Fr. DeMaria.![]()
Child Of God, Husband Of Brandi, Dad Of Jada
I love it.This is a personal anthem of mine
I believe you are right. I’ve got four myself. God didn’t bless us with anymore and I believe my wife is past her years of conception. At least, she hasn’t conceived anymore and as practicing Catholics we don’t believe in birth control.. This describes a divine order of priorities that I try to keep in my spirit. My relationship with Christ is paramount, my covenant with my wife is next, then my fatherhood of my child. I believe if I maintain these relationships in this order, God will bless that.
i.e., the best way to ensure I’m a Godly husband and father is to make my relationship with Christ top priority. To be the best father to my child and teach her about love, worship and relationships is to be the husband God calls me to be to my wife/her mother.
I agree. We homeschool our children and that really helps keep our priorities the way they should be.Get any of these out of order is unwise and runs the risk of lack of balance. Some people put their children above their marriage, bad plan.
They do not agree completely. So they were granted their own authority, cool, so no reason to be Catholic right? All Apostolic Churches agree completely.
They agree that they were started by one of The Apostles and that they are each granted their own authority under that succession.
We all believe in the fundamentals of our respective faith and all recognize that The Pope is the leader of The Catholic Church.
That on fact alone concretes shared faith.![]()
Source for 30,000?? Just open up your yellow pages, go out and see all the denominations in which someone has started. All documented, all Protestant.Source for 30,000? For that matter, source for 1 Catholic church?
If there is a family, and there are problems with the family, but they all are dependent on each other, it is wrong for “some” of the members to abandon the family as a whole.Hi
Then what happened, in Catholicism, that their brethren in faith resorted to splitting. Please don’t put all your blame on those who splitted, there must be some cause very much in Catholicism that they resorted to such an extreme step. If there is a desire to unite, that would only materialize if those deficiencies/mistakes are addressed. Some sacrifices have to be done from your side (the Catholics) before others (the Protestants) get convinced that a Unity is essential to be formed.
I think you get my point.
Thanks
Oh, and one more thing…during the dark ages, the clergy was whittled down by at least a full third (I’ve heard as high as 2 thirds). Catholics were the only ones treating the sick during the episodes of Black Plague and during the famines (no other Christins existed).Hi

Anglicans and Methodists have virtually no doctrinal differences. Within Methodism, the United Methodist Church, the British Methodist Church, the African Methodist Episcopal Church, and the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church have no doctrinal differences. The only differences are in polity.
The Free Methodists and the Wesleyan Methodists are about as close as you can get. I would say that they are identical, doctrinally…but again, there are questions of polity.I said polity, not policy.
The UMC, the AME, AME Zion, and CME congregations are Pan-Methodist in organization. And all of the above along with the British Methodists and Korean Methodists are members of the World Methodist Council.
And ultimately, that’s it.The Free Methodists and the Wesleyan Methodists are about as close as you can get. I would say that they are identical, doctrinally…but again, there are questions of polity.
I am old enough to remember that they nearly joined once, back in the 1950s (after producing a common hymnal).
The reason it never occurred was, the Free Methodists call the highest church officres “bishops”, and the Wesleyans call them “presidents”.![]()
