Hey everyone…I was watching the Journey Home and Marcus Grodi quoted a passage from 2 Timothy that really brought Protestantism to light for me…This is an excellent passage and I believe it fully describes the nearly 33,000 different protestant religions out there:
“For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine but, following their own desires and insatiable curiosity, will accumulate teachers and will stop listening to the truth and will be diverted to myths.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4
What do all of you think…good stuff?

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to meet him, we beg you, brethren,

Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false,

so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
or, with Revelation 18. 4:
Rev 18:1 After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority; and the earth was made bright with his splendor.
Rev 18:2 And he called out with a mighty voice, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! It has become a dwelling place of demons, a haunt of every foul spirit, a haunt of every foul and hateful bird;
Rev 18:3 for all nations have drunk the wine of her impure passion, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich with the wealth of her wantonness."
Rev 18:4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, "
Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues;
Rev 18:5 for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities"…

- for anyone can play Bible bingo
Solution: look at what Protestants do and and believe, and why. Protestantism can’t be summed up in a single verse, not without being greatly over-simplified. No religion can. ##
As to those 33,000 - that is a
gross exaggeration, but a very popular one ##
