Amen, amen I say to you!FINALLY somebody hit the nail on the head!
You are NOT to receive the Holy Eucharist in the Catholic Church if:
You are not Catholic
You are not in FULL Communion with the Catholic Church and its teachings
Are in a state of unconfessed Mortal Sin.
To do so is to disrespect and defile the most sacred of Catholic Sacraments. the Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith. It’s NOT a mere symbol.
**1 Cor 11-29:**For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself.
(I did not thank of the Amen as agreeing with all the Church teaches. Thanks Erich and elvisman! I guess that is why Amen means “I believe”!!!)
****I think some people feel that the Catholic Church teaches this because she wants to be some “exclusive” club and you must be a member to receive and that is her way of getting more members (and more money). No…we just truly believe what is taught and the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar is not something to be taken lightly. We enter into Heaven!
