Protestants are in heaven because of the prayers of Catholics?
Yes, because I remember Padre Pio praying for the protestant mother of one of his spiritual catholic daughters. And after her mother died, she was worried so she asked Padre Pio, and Padre Pio said her mother is saved and she should not worry. We pray for them, and God listens to you prayers, so yes, some are in heaven because of our prayers.
It may also be that some Catholics may be in heaven because of their prayers for us.
And of course it may depend a lot on the quality of goodness of the person doing the praying.
All prayers are beautiful to the Lord.Yes, because I remember Padre Pio praying for the protestant mother of one of his spiritual catholic daughters. And after her mother died, she was worried so she asked Padre Pio, and Padre Pio said her mother is saved and she should not worry.
I am thinking Protestants can pray for Catholics but the problem is that they are not in sanctifying grace so the quality of the prayer may not be strong. Yes God can hear their prayers but God also remembers the sins they are not aware of, example: lustful thoughts committed , contraception…
Unlike some, I believe God’s promise in Heb. 10:17. But, if you don’t believe it and receive it,then it doesn’t work for you.Yes, because I remember Padre Pio praying for the protestant mother of one of his spiritual catholic daughters. But we don’t know that they aren’t in grace. I’ve know some very wonderful protestant people, warm, loving, and caring. They are prayerful and full of trust. So if I were to guess, I would think that a goodly number would be in grace because of their love.Yes, because I remember Padre Pio praying for the protestant mother of one of his spiritual catholic daughters. This! :aok: Well said. But we don’t know that they aren’t in grace. I’ve know some very wonderful protestant people, warm, loving, and caring. They are prayerful and full of trust. So if I were to guess, I would think that a goodly number would be in grace because of their love.
Mind, I’m not saying that I would be anything but Catholic, because that is what Jesus wants…union and truth. But nevertheless, there are many good people who have not arrived at this and are not responsible for the errors they may believe in. And God the Father may let a lot slide for our fellow brothers/sisters .
Yes, there are lots of very good Protestants. But the problem is they don’t believe in the theology of the RCC.But we don’t know that they aren’t in grace. Great points. I wonder who could be those Protestants be if there are any. I like it to be true but it is really hard to imagine for some reasons…It would be presumptuous to presume there are not Protestants who are not saints in God’s sight.
It would be presumptuous and judgmental of us!
God alone knows the state any souls are in.
Protestants and ourselves are not saved by us or our prayers, but by Christ.
Best wishes,
Pauline
Protestants are in heaven because Christ died for all and made full atonement for all who believe in what He has done and has faith even as tiny as a mustard seed. Of course we don’t know for sure who is there - that is for God to determine in the final judgement. I know that if I were to die right now I would be there as well - I can’t do anything to earn that place but the Holy Spirit works the Faith in me to share fruits of my faith with others sometimes without me even knowing it.Protestants are in heaven because of the prayers of Catholics?
Amen.It would be presumptuous to presume there are not Protestants who are not saints in God’s sight.

Just don’t forget to keep reading, see Heb. 10:19-31Unlike some, I believe God’s promise in Heb. 10:17. But, if you don’t believe it and receive it,then it doesn’t work for you.

I think we can hope that…but we cant say that or know that for sure because at the end of the day the only one who decides who is admitted into heaven is GOD…Protestants are in heaven because of the prayers of Catholics?

May we all receive His Divine mercy on the last day.![]()
I think most current Catholic funerals would leave one with the same impression.Have you been to a protestant funeral lately? They’re more or less guaranteed to be in heaven upon death (according to their pastors), whereas we poor Catholics just have hope of it…

Would it not also be presumptuous to assume that there ARE Protestants who are saints in heaven before God’s sight?**It would be presumptuous to presume there are not Protestants who are not saints in God’s sight.
