I am old enough to recall the Democratic convention of 1968, the Buckley/Vidal interactions there and the following articles and derived lawsuits.

Buckley was the winner. Personal opinion.

Dad was a Buckley enthusiast, and AUH2O. Sermon prep always placed on hold for Firing Line.

Folks my age know: Goldwater.

Well it wasn’t the trickiest abbreviation I ever saw. 🙂 A very superficial knowledge (which is all I have) of the periodic table is all it takes.

Not sure of the reason for abbreviation. It’s not that short and it’s harder to type (number between two capital letters). Possibly you had to be there. 🙂

the reasons many evangelicals are so shocked is because they have been told that the catholic church is a dead church and all sorts of other lies by their pastor. When I got older I saw that it wasn’t true and I realized that I wanted to become catholic. I am still pretty young so that really wasn’t long ago

It was cool (says me). There was a special canned ginger ale sold as a fund raiser for the candidate, with AUH2O as the label. I still got one.

I look at evangelicalism as a Bible boot camp. After much discernment, When your ready for War, the Spirit brings you to the front lines, Catholicism. 😃
