Leviticus 17:4 "For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life. Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, 'You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.’I thought they were supposed to be “Bible Christians”?
But all I’ve seen is mental gymnastics and eisegesis. Sheesh.
I would’ve thought people would at least be honest with themselves. :nope:
Protestant101 and NonCatholic have as yet to refute this passage from me:
I’ve never heard any Protestant even attempt to refute that; they must’ve glossed over it.
Are people really so self-absorbed that they’d intentionally gloss over information that shatters their little weltschuuang, simply because they don’t want to admit being wrong?
Pride…:tsktsk:
Not talking to me? Doesn’t he like me any more?I dont think he was talking to you was he?
LOLI dont think he was talking to you was he?

We all do it, but when we get out of hand, we apologize to keep things charitable.NonCatholic,
I don’t want to get into an argument with you about whether those criticisms are accurate or not.
Rather let’s suppose – for the sake of argument – that they are accurate.
Well then consider this: How many internet users (Catholic, Protestant, whatever) make vicious and uncharitable statements every day, all across the “World Wide Web”? A number that boggles the mind. Clearly you won’t be able to turn back the tide. Hence, if you sincerely believe that someone’s posts are uncharitable, then why not just ignore him or her and get keep on discussing things with other internet users?
That’s my approach anyhow. (Not that anyone would ever be uncharible to little ol’ me.)
Leviticus 17:4 "For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life. Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, 'You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.’ [SIGN]Excellent[/SIGN] Greater is he that is in me then he that is in the world.love of Christ!
God does not change and Jesus would not violate His own command.
Not to be the proverbial “wet blanket”, but I think you’ve adopted an overly rosy view of the internet. I’ve spent a fair amount of time on internet discussion forums, over the last 4 years or so, and I’ve seen many, many, cases where things “got out of hand” and there was never an apology. We all do it, but when we get out of hand, we apologize to keep things charitable.
Do you even have any idea what Peter J meant by circular reasoning? She is correct!
**Okay, I’ll take my place in the queue but let me just get a chair as I can’t stand for too long on these crutches.![]()
A revert is one that has left the Faith and then returns. Since I returned to the Catholic Church I have come to know my Faith as never before. In the beginning I used to question* everything *until one day someone quoted St Augustine"Hi Cinette, Just wondering there are alot of meanings to the word revert, what does it mean to you?
What kind of books do you like to read? I have an African American friend she is a very kind and loving person. Are you African or a missionary?Nancy
This refers to post # 940.Do you even have any idea what Peter J meant by circular reasoning?
Realcatholicgk Darling,Hi Ben,
Oh Ben, Sweetheart I was meaning to ask about your foot any better? I see that your fingers are doing great!
**I can’t figure Nancy out anymore. But she said she has a boat!**
Yes. You said Nacy was correct and PeterJ said she was begging the question, i.e. using circular reasoning. This refers to post # 940.
I think you mean the Ascension don’t you? If so, then of course I know about the Ascension. When Jesus ascended into heaven he promised to send us the Holy Spirit. He said he would not leave us orphans. You miss the point of the assention and also John 17. He is at the right hand of God and is in Heaven; whilest the “Helper” is convicting and bringing the elect homeward until His “Second Coming”.
You are correct the right hand is the seat of honor; whereas the left side was the seat of judgment…you always want to be on the right side.
Ever heard of the blood of the New Covenant? Jesus came to make a New Covenant with the people, with us.Leviticus 17:4 "For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life. Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, 'You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.’
God does not change and Jesus would not violate His own command.
True. Jesus would not violate God’s command. One thing you are forgetting is JESUS IS GOD. He can command whatever He wants.Leviticus 17:4 "For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life. Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, 'You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.’
God does not change and Jesus would not violate His own command.

Protestant101, With the free will which you have been given, you have chosen** to be blind and deaf.
**Hi Cinette,
Hey, that isn’t very nice of you! :tsktsk:
Protestant101 doesn’t have any choice. His cult teaches all kind of lies! Don’t you realize? They have now published two of their own Bible translations. The Study Bible and the Clear Word Bible, which further separates them from real Christian teachings. His cult was officially founded in 1863 an outcome of a religious agitation begun by William Miller (1781-1849) in 1831. You may have heard of him, Foolish Bill Miller concluded that the world would come to an end, and Christ would return, in A.D. 1843.He gave wide circulation to his views and gained a considerable following in a few years. When the year 1843 had passed as any other, and the prediction had failed, Snow, one of his disciples, set himself to correct Miller’s calculations, and in his turn announced the end of the world for 22 October, 1844. As the day drew near groups of Millerites as they were then called throughout the United States, put aside all worldly occupations, awaited, in a fever of expectancy the promised coming of Christ, but as we can tell were again doomed to disappointment.
The faithful followers of Miller next met in conference at Albany, N.Y., in 1845, and professed their unshaken faith in the near personal coming of the Son of God.
After that they followed their Prophet Ellen G. White (Who they deny following. That really makes me shake my head! It would be like us following jesus but then saying we don’t follow Jesus! They seem to almost worship the woman, but they deny her many more than three times! ) **
I agree with you that no amount of repetition of Jesus’ word will convince you. So continue as you are if it makes you happy.
**Cinette, of course you are right! But we can’t stop trying! His very soul could depend on our efforts. In the military we called it “brainwashing”. Can’t you see protestant101 isn’t really happy? His soul hungers for the real presence of Jesus! Please don’t give up on him! He needs our love and prayers to escape from Satan’s cluches! Don’t let him be consumed by the devil by your indifference!
His Cult have 28 beliefs that they deny are beliefs! One of these main “beliefs” is: “Only a person who knows and understands what Jesus taught can teach what Jesus taught.” That sounds reasonable doesn’t it?
But, then even knowing that the Catholic chuch was around for 2,000 years they continue to deny the Catholic church’s authority and follow the teachings of the Prophet Ellen G. White that I previously mentioned.
Watch if he bothers to respond Protestant101 will attempt to throw her over to the side (I know that sounds weird, but it seems to be some kind of SDA ritual. I have asked him about it dozen of times but he nevers explains. It may be a secret ceremony to bring them good luck or something foolish like that!) I just know that iIt seems that they throw their Prophet all over the place.
You will have them throwing her to this or that side when you ask about her teachings ,which they follow “religiously” [pun intented!] but at the same time also deny.I guess, if you deny enough things, no one can challenge your beliefs. I think they have been doing it for over 140 years. It might have something to do with the “End of the World” trick they fell for twice. I am not sure.
The really funny thing is Protestant101 also thinks Non-Catholic and nancy dalrymple will be marked with the sign of Satan just like he does all Catholics! It has something to do with not worshiping on Saturdays! That is how real Christians know they don’t even believe in Jesus’ teachings. All people who actually love Jesus worship Him on His day. Why, even the Protestants, that only have social events, have them on Sundays, well except for some Baptist that have their social events on Saturday.
Real Protestants usually think that their interpretations are inspired by the Holy Spirit; but they are now divided in 60 some thousand **different groups and most of them have all have different interpretations. Since the Holy Spirit cannot contradicts Himself, it should be evident even to them that their interpretations are only fallible human opinions.
Of course, when Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit, He was speaking directly to His apostles only, and NOT to the crowds. "I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot hear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” John 16 :12-13
It is then illogical to use this verse, as Protestants often do, to claim that Jesus has promised the Holy Spirit to everybody, because He was speaking only to his apostles, united with Peter, whom He had given the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
Protestants say that the Catholic church has been corrupted! If this were true, it would mean that Jesus was a liar! Didn’t Jesus said that the gates of Hell would not prevailed against His church? We know that corrupted men have been present within the church. Since the very beginning (Judas was one of the apostles), but the church can never be corrupted because its teachings are always Jesus’
I hope that helps to explain why I believe that we have to pray for Protestant101 and the real Protestants also! Prayer can do anything. Jesus can defeat Satan and remove the veil from their minds. Conversion is possible! All it takes is prayer to give them faith! And who better to pray for them then Jesus real followers?
God Bless
