Protestants, explain Fatima.

But yet, most Christians will not believe the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has allowed the Israelites back into the land like his prophecy says he would. What a sign for the WHOLE world of today that God exists and his Word is real!
 
I’m Catholic and I don’t believe Fatima, Protestants don’t need to explain it, they can simply dismiss it.

I didn’t realize that God was a British dominated UN… Modern day Israel supports abortion, homosexuality, it has nothing to do with God. It’s a supremicist country of white European Jews living on land that isn’t theirs. There is nothing miraculous about uncaring people stealing other peoples land through military means. It happens all the time, all throughout history.

Another typical answer from one who will find every reason to deny what prophecy of scripture has spoken of what will come of Israel before it is restored. To your types, all nations can call themselves “God fearing” nations but Israel is the most wicked, Godless nation.

BTW, Jews from over 100 countries are going back to the land, black Jews, white Jews, brown Jews, yellow Jews, etc., etc.
 
zionsim has nothing to do with the land of israel. the talmud explains that jews have been foresworn, by three strong oaths, not to ascend to the Holy Land as a group using force, not to rebel against the governments of countries in which they live, and not by their sins, to prolong the coming of moshiach; as is written in Tractate Kesubos 111a.
the true jews don’t live in israel.

There is no prophecy about Jews returning to Israel modern day after 2,000 years, all the prophecies about Jews returning from exile happened already. The Jews haven’t had a prophet since Jesus and they never will, and that’s for a reason, the tribalism and supremecist system the Jews go by is an archaic unfair system that was always misinterpretated by Jews to have them believe they’re more righteous than others outside their tribe. There was nothing miraculous about the creation of modern day Israel at all. Plenty of people take other peoples lands by use of evictions and military occupations. It’s a little more rare these days outside of Africa but it used to be very very common.

Many Orthodox Jews reject the Israeli state because it is so secular. They feel it wasn’t founded by God, nor was it founded on God…

How would you define ‘many’?

Could you suggest figures for the proportion of ‘Orthodox Jews’ both in terms of the total numbers of ‘Orthodox Jews’ and the proportion of the number of divergent groups making up the group known as ‘Orthodox Jews’?

I think it might be instructive for us to know.

I’ve heard lots of ‘miracle’ stories in the fundamentalist evangelical protestant churches i’m from. problem is not a single one has ever actually been proved; at least by someone NOT a fundamentalist evangelical protestant…

It’s amazing that anyone would think hell is a terrifying place.

It’s amazing that anyone could no the current war would end.

It’s amazing that anyone could think that another war could happen afterward.

It’s truly amazing that theses “prophesies” were **revealed after the fact.

The Bible warns us about false prophets pretending to be messengers of God. The Bible tells us not to believe the miracles and the prophecies - be not deceived.

The Catholic Church even states the shall be no new revelations after the Apostolic age. It only acknowledge the possibility of private revelations.

In 1960 the last “prophecy” was to be revealed, but the Vatican withheld it.

As for the statement that people would have left the church, you over-look the damage well-meaning, yet mis-guided, people can do by working from inside the church rather than from outside.

Not just a bunch of people… but all 70,000 of them who were there for only one reason; Three children told them to be there on Oct 13th, 1917, to witness a miracle.

Protestants have to dismiss it. I can’t see how a Protestant can believe in Fatima and still be Protestant.

If a Protestant wants to be true to their faith, they have to dismiss all obvious signs and messages and miracles and whatever that goes along with Fatima. Unlike Catholics, Protestants have no choice in this context. It’s almost like Protestants have placed a limitation on God.

You forgot to mention that it is “amazing” that three children predicted a miracle on Oct 13th, 1917, and it happened! A message of prayer and repentance was preached around the world.

P.S. For what it’s worth, I don’t believe Fatima is a prophecy, but a prediction - and they are very different.
 
Ginger and luekwarm, it’s too bad you could not have met my wife’s father. He was a 14 year old lad living on the Portugese island of Madiera in 1917. He saw the Miracle of the Sun.

For those who do not believe, no explanation will suffice. For those who do believe, no explanation is necessary.
