Let’s look at job 42:Huh??? I don’t see the connection with the story of David and Nathan. What am I missing. David was a murderer and an adulterer, but he knew how to repent. There are entire Psalms that show his grieving because of his sinful behavior. And… David went right to the Lord.
I would like to understand what you are trying to say. Can you please try again?
7 After the Lord had said these things to Job , he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.
This is the offense of Eliphaz…
This is pretty much self explanatory…so let me ask…why did God not just forgive Eliphaz directly?8 So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly.
Why did he tell Eliphaz to go through Job to be forgiven? Why did God say…not deal with you according to your folly?
Eliphaz did as commanded and where forgiven…via Job praying for them…“the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.”You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” 9 So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite did what the Lord told them; and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.
