great quotes. Humility, it takes humility not to oppose the will of God who knows us before even forming us.

I never said it wasn’t human. I said it wasn’t a “person” until it was born. Never said it wasn’t alive.

but God says He knows us before even forming us…so from God’s perspective, we are humans even as embryos, and before.

…and lets not forget how the baby leapt in his mother’s womb in St. Luke. So, you don’t think a baby is a person? How odd indeed.

He says he knows us. Doesn’t say that we are a person, but that he knew us. That is why headstones have a birthdate(when you left the womb) and a date of death(when a person dies)

Okay but you are making the very odd assumption that an embryo is not a person and here is a non Catholic site that says other wise. And for your information up until the mid 1930’s or so all Christians opposed contraceptions.
 
The oddest thing about Catholicism is that Ted Kennedy wasn’t excommunicated decades ago.🤷

He is God, like no other. He doesn’t compare with other embryos. Obviously He is more extraordinary. Are you comparing Him with other babies?
 
why does the manner in which we absorb oxygen so important to you? does a person that needs to be fed intraveniously not a person because they take in nutrition differently?

or does this line of thinking only apply to oxygen.

I am aware of the conference at 1930. At least some denominations got it right. They ask me what I found odd about the catholic religion. That was my answer.
 
I suggest anyone who thinks contraception is okay should study up on it and not post information that is incorrect. Threre are types of contraception that doesn’t allow the fertiziled egg (embryo) to attach to the cervical wall, which is itself - abortion!!

I find nothing odd about the Catholic Church or it’s teachings.

Life begins at the MOMENT of conception which means it is a HUMAN BEING. The names embryo, fetus …etc are just given for the benefit of different stages of development.
