Protestants: What is the oddest thing about Catholicism?

But a woman is not pregnant until that egg goes into the uterus. She can’t get pregnant without the uterus taking the egg. if her uterus doesn’t take the egg, then she is NOT pregnant.

It is to prevent an embryo from forming/being developed. The biological difference is a person can breathe air. The embryo is in amniotic fluid. But the Catholics see sex as nothing more than to create life. So yes I find it odd.

but see, that’s the whole problem with the culture of death.
it defines when a person IS, or BECOMES.
what about on the other end of life, someone on life support? when do they stop being a person? so that you can pull the plug, or harvest the organs?
its a slippery slope.
all LIFE is sacred, whether it’s an embryo, a fetus, in diapers, in grade school, in a coma, on life support, or just paying the bills.

catholics don’t draw a line around VALID LIFE.
life is life.
conception to natural death.
period.

It’s still a baby however, even a baby in a petri dish is still a baby not in the womb.

I don’t agree with taking someone off of life support. I don’t believe in abortion.

sorry i don’t get what you mean. What i meant is that abortion is wrong because we will be interfering with God’s plan , whether we believe the embryo is a living entity or a fertilized egg.

It is hard for me to believe how rich Catholicism is in history and tradition… and yet what lousy givers they are when it comes to the offering basket. You would think if it was the Church that Christ intended to start, people would give their best, not their least.

Thank goodness there are exceptions.
