objectively speaking, to reject Christ’s Church is to reject Him…
and this is why we have so many problems with religion, even violence within religion. The typical “I’m right I’m right I’m right,” and “you’re wrong, you’re wrong, you’re wrong and going to hell.”

Another example of you peoploe beliving God plays a guessing game.

LOL, as I said if I truly believed that…I’d be Catholic…but I don’t and with Him and you I share in His Life…“He is our all and in all”…

I’m not sure I follow…but in a word…“no”. For something to be “unforgiveable”…it’s just that…'unforgiveable"…to reject the Catholic church as an organization is not the same as rejecting Christ in His very person…but then if I believed it was…I’d be Catholic…perhaps we are speaking past one another.
isnt what the pharisees did to Jesus? they just did not believe that it was of God what Jesus was doing? if the CC is the Church that Jesus found which it is, i dont any other claiming what she claims, and you say is not of Christ then you are sinning against the HS. the pharisees also had opinions just like you. most of Jesus did shocked the pharisees, most things of the CC shocks people too. go figure.

that is called obedience, we believe because Jesus said so and not it is true because i believe. hope you see the point.

i have been “with Jesus” outside the Church and inside the Church.

Inside is better… infinitely better…

I’m sorry but i never knew Jesus until i really knew the Catholic faith (and spend time with Him @ the Blessed Sacrament… )…

God bless… 🙂

I am pleased you have found Christ in the sacraments of the church…I found Him in the Living Silence of Meeting, as we sit in and with the Presence in our Midst and are taught by Him.

Peace to you friend.

i have no idea what this means… Living silence of Meeting??

.
Well, when you are right, you are right…

and if you are right and don’t say you are right… Then you are, in effect, essentially, lying…(withholding truth)

Distracted, Publisher is a Friend (Quaker) and you need to know a bit of “Quaker Speak” to understand what he said.
By “meeting” he means Meeting for Worship or in more common terms, a service. Friends meetings can generally be divided into programmed and unprogrammed. A programmed meeting, from what I’ve heard (I’ve never been to a programmed meeting) is similar to a service you may find in a variety of protestant services but an unprogrammed meetin is unique to Friends. Someone, I’m sure, will correct me if I’m wrong.
At an unprogrammed Meeting upon gathering at the appointed time everyone sits in silence, there is no appointed minister or programmed service and no offering.
Friends gather in silence to seek together a fuller knowledge of God’s Will and an understanding of its practical outcome for living. In silence they wait that God may speak. Frequently people become conscious of God’s Presence pervading the meeting. If somoene feels an impulse to share a thought, he/she will rise and express a message or a vocal prayer. In a Friends Meeting anyone who feels called to speak may do so. Spoken messages are normally brief and of a spiritual nature. However, the basis of worship is silence, some meetings are completely silent, and this silence is the Living Silence.
A handshake normally ends the meeting of worship.

Hope this helps a bit.

thanks. i knew nothing about Quakers, to speak of…

Sounds like a great idea… sitting in silence waiting on God… the only problem is… Many people say this or that is of God… and often, it is not… (an extreme example is whne someone says God told them to kill someone [Mormon incident several yrs ago, etc…])… We really do need the True Church to guide is… We humans are too messed up without that…

True… except for one thing:

The Catholic Church really IS right…

distracted, you and I are not too far away from one another. We wait in silent expectancy awaiting of the Light of Christ to be our Teacher. It is understood that no one is to “plan” on speaking in Meeting…but each of us are open vessels to the Light Within and if one of us is moved to provide “vocal ministry” it is then meditated upon by the Church…the True Church is found where two or three are gathered together in His Name. It is the discernment of the Body to “hear” the Words of God spoken through the one giving “vocal ministry”. The Living Silence is not broken without much prayer and witness from God that the vocal ministry is offered.

Anything which moves us against the Spirit of Christ is rejected…for a vocal ministry offered that called for violence, the speaker would most likely be told to “stand down”, either by weighty Friends who would stand and ask him for silence or the Meeting as a whole might stomp their feet and someone request “clearness”…we would then enter again into Silent Waiting for God to resolve the issue…our Meetings for Worship for business are at times quite lengthy…we do not vote on issues…we discuss and wait upon the Lord for guidence…the Clerk then states vocally what he feels is the “sense of the Meeting” and if there is no objection, consensus is made.

We also bring it before “the Church, the Body of Christ” for discernment…you and I have differnt understanding of what constitutes the “True Church”…🙂

i have studied other religions, though, admittedly not in depth or to the point of exhaustion… but from what i know (books/experience) it seems the Quakers are probably one of the best, if not the best Protestant religion “out there”. i know they fought against slavery in the 1800s…

but it is still an off-shoot of an off-shoot of M. Luther’s break off…

Even so, As you may know, all churches are part of the Catholic Church, although indirectly / imperfectly… all those that don’t teach egregious error, that is…

So, as i tell virtually everyone i meet who isn’t fully Catholic: If you believe in Christ and the Bible, you are already half (or more) Catholic… (Of course, they may feel, upon hearing that, that i have just insulted them 😃 …).

What bothers me is this: When i am out in the world, doing this or that… even when i am praying… i think and feel (thus & so). Then, when i am in Christ’s Presence in the Church, i feel and think somehting else… It is not ALWAYs in conflict but sometimes it seems very much in conflict (what comes to me while inside as opposed to outside his presence)… and that is one reason i try to tell people about the original Church… Otherwise, they may get some important things very wrong… and (Long story short) may be in for a rude awakening when they die…

(yet i know that only God knows such things absolutely)…

not sure what else to say… but

God bless…
