Please dont attack me if you dont understand your doctrine yourself. Thanks
WE understand our own doctrines quite well, thank you very much. Have you ever even attended Mass before? Where is your so-called “expertise” coming from, that you know so much more about our teachings than we do?

We reject the innovations of man that came about during the so-called “Reformation” which was a rejection of nearly a third of the books of the Old Testament, and the rejection of almost the entire oral teaching that comes down to us directly from the Apostles, and is older than the writings of the New Testament.

Instead, we hold to the teachings, rituals, and traditions that were given by Jesus Christ to the Apostles, that were passed down faithfully to us by the Apostles and their lawful successors, the Pope and the Bishops who are in full communion with the Pope, along with the entire collection of the Scriptures that they gave to us.

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth” -Philippians 2:9,10
Amen! Love this verse!
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” -Acts 4:12
Praise God! Another favorite.
“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do…” -Matthew 6:7
Again, amen! Vain repetition is a bad thing, but not all repetition is vain, is it?

Have you not read:

Luke 11:2-4
2He said to them, "When you pray, say:
" ‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. 3Give us each day our daily bread. 4Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.’ "

Jesus didn’t say, “You might want to say something like the following”…he said, “When you pray, say” and he gave us precise words that have been repeated for 2,000 years. Is this “vain repetition”? Hardly.

Matthew 26:43-44
43When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. 44So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

Jesus prayed a third time saying the same things he had said previously. Is this “vain repetition”? Hardly.

Revelation 4:8
Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings.Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”

The creatures keep saying the same thing over and over and over again - day and night. Is this “vain repetition”? Hardly.

Hope this helps. :tiphat:

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book” (Rev. 22:18).
I couldn’t agree more. This is why it has always troubled me that Luther tried to add the word “alone” to the Book of Romans to support his new doctine of sola fide or “faith alone”.

Well, here…read Luther’s own words:

“You tell me what a great fuss the Papists are making because the word “alone” is not in the text of Paul…say right out to him: ‘Dr. Martin Luther will have it so,’…I will have it so, and I order it to be so, and my will is reason enough. I know very well that the word ‘alone’ is not in the Latin or the Greek text” (Stoddard J. Rebuilding a Lost Faith. 1922, pp. 101-102; see also Luther M. Amic. Discussion, 1, 127).

Hope this helps. :tiphat:

You obviously have no idea what the Catholic doctrine is. Yet you come here trying to tell us what we believe and then you attack your misunderstandings. When we try to explain what we do believe you tell us that only you know Catholic doctrine?
I will pray that God opens your heart.

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.”
Are you not in error because you do not know the scriptures or the power of God?

We can ask saints in heaven to intercede before God on our behalf. To “pray” to a saint does not mean to worship him or her; it simply means to “talk” to him or her. They can hear us because they are not dead - they’re alive! Jesus said:

“Have you not read in the book of Moses, in the account of the bush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!” (Mark 12:26-27)

As for making images of “anything in heaven or on the earth”, consider God’s own command to Moses:

“They traveled from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea, to go around Edom. But the people grew impatient on the way; they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!” Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died. The people came to Moses and said, “We sinned when we spoke against the LORD and against you. Pray that the LORD will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people. The LORD said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived.” (Numbers 21:4-9)

“[Hezekiah] did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done. He removed the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke into pieces the bronze snake Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had been burning incense to it. (It was called Nehushtan.)” (2 Kings 18:3-5)

The Lord commanded Moses to make an image of a snake to save the people who were bitten by serpents. Later, when the Israelites began to worship and burn incense to it, Hezekiah destroyed it as a false god.

Today, Catholics use pictures and statues of great Christians of the past to remind us of their worthy example. Yes, we ask them to pray for us…just as you yourself might ask someone in your own congregation to pray for a sick relative. The saints are alive and able to pray for us just as much as you and I can pray for each other.

And since they are already in heaven before the throne of God, we might consider that their prayers are even more effective than our own for "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16) They’re obviously righteous since they’re already home!

Hope this helps. :tiphat:

This is a very loaded, yet easily explained argument amongst Catholics and Evangelicals. The thing is, although some tradition and ritual the Catholic church practices is founded by traditions of the Bible, they are primarily Old Testament tradition and law. The New Testament is the new covenant God made with His people. Our lives mean more to God than the ritual and tradition that goes on in the privacy of the “Church”.
When Christ was teaching his lessons he was preaching as a Jewish Rabbi would. He was not was not setting up a new religion. After His crucifixion, the ‘Christians’ did not see themselves as a religion apart from Judaism. Other than the politics of the Pharisees and the Sadducees, a good many Jews saw the devoutness of Christ’s followers a favorable light. These Jewish followers of Christ initially attempted to exist in the framework of Judaism. It was not until after Paul and others traveled to Asia Minor and begin converting gentiles that the splintering from mainstream Judaism occurred. During the first decades of Christianity, it was entirely an oral and ritualistic tradition. There were no scriptures other than the Old Testament Septuagint.
The earliest writings consisted of the four gospels (each written to address the needs of a specific community). And Paul’s epistles, which were largely written to correct *errant *behavior in various communities. NT scripture itself tells us that scripture alone is not sufficient. Thus through the centuries the Church has relied on scripture, apostolic tradition and the teaching authority vested in the apostles, headed by Peter. Jesus did not abrogate the entire OT. He taught it with his new salvetic message. So to state that practices and traditions are primarily OT tradition and law and hence wrong is a misstatement. To deny them is to say that apostles were wrong.
As a matter of fact, God hates religion and repetition (mentioned several times in Scripture).
God hates religion? Religion is the belief in God. He hates that? Wow! Are you saying that God hates all Christians, Jews & Muslims.
What God hates is mindless repetition, when a person goes through the actions for appearance sake only.
Attending church and going through repetitive and tedious motions is not what God wants from us. He wants us to live in His will as result of the conviction of the Holy Spirit and the guidance thereof. It’s not the motions we go through on Sunday, but our reverence to the Will of a God who is bigger than ritual and tradition, who is bigger than a man that is referred to as Father(which is contradictory to scripture), who is bigger than laws and regulations. His love is sufficient and His Spirit is what should be leading us through life not repetition. I truly believe repetition and routine is the COMPLETE opposite of what God wants.
All of this ignores that which God found pleasing in the worship of the early Christians. You are right that mindless repetition and tedious motions mean nothing to God. You are accusing all Catholics of using repetition and tedious motions… may I remind you that you are NOT God and you do not know the intent in the hearts and souls of every Catholic at worship.
We serve a Living God with a Living word that should be real enough to us to be spontaneous and be lead by the Holy Spirit of a God that is relevant, relational, and ALIVE. God wants a personal and intimate relationship with you that will bring you past the tradition of a non-scriptural doctrine and past repetitive, sincerity-lacking Hail Marys. That’s what I believe.
Once again you are judging the hearts and intent of Catholic worshipers. The Catholic Church teaches a personal and intimate relationship with God is the whole point. However to ensure our relationship and state of grace with God, the sacraments and traditions of the Church, which are themselves based on scripture and apostolic tradition, is the main responsibility of the Church.
No one is required to say Hail Mary’s. If they are not sincere in saying them, then they should not do this. It is on the individual to do only what they are sincere about. But most Catholics are very sincere when they say the Hail Mary as they are of all prayers. Do you find the words of the Hail Mary sincere when you read them in the bible?
It is clear from you have written that you fail to grasp what Catholicism is about.
God Bless anyone who reads this and please dont take this as an attack, its just my heart.
God Bless
-NP-
If this thread has not been an attack in your mind, then you really do need to examine your heart. You came here trying to tell us that we believe and do things that we do not.

truthnlight:
For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother."
Ah…the “brothers of Jesus”… Ever wonder why the Bible never calls these relatives the “sons of Mary”? It’s because the Aramaic language had no word for distant relatives and called all “brothers”.

But since you doubt, consider the following:

Brothers of Jesus, Not Sons of Mary

1. Jesus had a “brother” named James.

"Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?”(Matthew 13:55)

2. James, the Lord’s “brother”, is an apostle.

“Then, after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and remained with him fifteen days. But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. (Galatians 1:18-19)

3. There are two apostles named James.

“When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles: Simon (whom he named Peter), his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot, Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.”(Luke 6:13-16)

4. One James (the brother of John) is not the uterine brother of Jesus; his father is Zebedee.

James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder)” (Mark 3:17)

5
**. The other apostle named James is not the uterine brother of Jesus; his father is Alpheus.**

“And when it was day, he called his disciples, and chose from them twelve, whom he called apostles: Simon, whom he named Peter and Andrew his brother, and James and John and Philip and Bartholomew, and Matthew and James the son of Alpheus, and Simon who was called the Zealot, and Judas the son of James and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.” (Luke 6:13-16)

6. Therefore, neither apostle named James was a uterine brother of Jesus.

7. The man named Joseph (or Joses) is not the uterine brother of Jesus; his mother is Mary and his brother is James. Therefore, this Mary is the wife of Alphaeus.

“Many women were there, watching from a distance. They had followed Jesus from Galilee to care for his needs. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s sons.” (Matthew 27:55-56)

8. Judas is not a uterine brother of Jesus because he is the son of James.

“When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.” (Acts 1:13)

**9. While Matthew 15:35 declares James, Joseph and Judas to be the “brothers” of Jesus, it has been demonstrated from scripture that they are NOT uterine brothers of the Lord. From this, it is apparent that scripture must be using the term “brothers” to mean relatives other than sons of Mary. **

Jesus did not leave us a book that we have to figure out on our own; He left us a Church built upon a group of men commissioned to preach the full Gospel. When the Early Church Fathers—some of whom were disciples of Peter and John—spoke of the Perpetual Virginity of Mary, they knew what they were talking about!

Hope this helps. :tiphat:

The truth, God’s truth, is found in the pages of the Sacred Scriptures
The written portion of God’s revelation surely is, but what does the Bible itself say about holding fast to the oral teachings or tradition? Was everything that was known written down? :nope:

Mark 4:33-34
With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand. He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.

We’re never told in the Bible what these other “similar parables” were, but Mark obviously knew that Jesus had told them. Therefore, knowledge of some of Jesus’ teaching existed outside of the written pages of the scriptures.

Mark 16:15

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

Jesus instructed his disciples to proclaim the good news by preaching; he did not tell them to go home, write everything down and circulate their writings.

Luke 1:1-4

Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

Theophilus had been taught the gospel orally; Luke’s written account confirmed the oral teaching already received.

John 20:30-31
Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

John acknowledges that the disciples knew more from direct eyewitness observation than he had recorded in his writings.

John 21:25
Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

John reiterates that there was much more from the life of Jesus than was contained in his small book. As an eyewitness of those things, he would have been able to share those memories with those to whom he passed on the faith.

Acts 1:2-3
In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.

Acts 8:14-17
When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them. When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 11:2

I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the teachings just as I passed them on to you.

1 Corinthians 11:23

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you:

Doesn’t this indicate that Paul’s preaching was “God-breathed” (theopneustos)?

1 Corinthians 15:1-5
Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve.

(cont.)

1 Thessalonians 2:13
And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.

Paul declares that the teaching delivered to the Thessalonians is not that of men but is the word of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:15

So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

2 Thessalonians 3:6

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.

2 Timothy 1:13

What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:2

And the things you have **heard **me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.

1 Peter 1:23-25

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For, “All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.

Peter declares that the message already preached to the Church throughout the provinces is the “living and enduring word of God”. Peter’s letter (scripture) witnesses to the Apostles’ preaching (Tradition).

2 Peter 1:20-21

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

The prophets spoke the word of God first; writing it down came later.

2 Peter 2:21
It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.

2 John 12

I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.

3 John 13-14

I have much to write you, but I do not want to do so with pen and ink. I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face.

John has much that he wants to tell the Church and Gaius in person; he clearly does not want put it all down with pen and ink. Now, if John thought the only way that his message would have any real authority would be to write it down, he would have done so. Instead, his preference is for personal, face-to-face delivery.

Jude 3
Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.

Hope this helps. :tiphat:

I am not protestant. Im a Born-Again, non-denominational, Spirit filled follower of the ONLY mediator between God and Men. Thanks
Thereby placing yourself in a separate denomination, now called “non denominational”…yea, doesnt make any sense to me either…I think I will stick with the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church that traces Her roots to JESVS CHRIST Himself. Thanks.

non denominational IS denominational,

most of these “non denominational” follow the protestant doctrine sola scriptura, the " bible only" doctrine.

even denominationals have traditions and their own doctrines.

it makes me laugh to see how these non denominational folks think their soo special because they are not apart of a known established organization but reality they are really no different from them.

I go to Church Tuesday for soul wining. I go Wensday for church.

yep! Not as much as I did thats is for sure.
DOES ANY OF THIS SAVE ME ?
Nope. Not unless you believe on the Lord.

You would be going to hell for nothing if you did not also have faith in the Lord.

And guess what, this is the teaching of the Catholic Church:)

I belive the bible is the inspired word of God. God -breathed thats my standard I live by. I hold everone that teaches me to it.Since I do all this should I go to Heaven
Not If I dont belive.I would do it all in vain.

Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, LORD, LORD, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

Matthew 7:22, “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”

Matthew 7:23, “And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).
Actually, the Baptism was a good first step…

I would like to know why you would feel that God would forgive your venial sins coming to him through Jesus Christ but would deny you forgiveness for a mortal sin without a Priest. What for the person who is injuried and will not get to confess to a Priest?
Would God deny a faithful Christian eternal live because a man (Priest) was not there to give absolution at the last hour. If God would forgive him without a Priest, would he not at other times even when it was not your last hour?
Please to not get me wrong. I respect your Faith and I’m not saying you are wrong or trying to change your mind, I just do not understand the reason behind it.

Your Brother in Christ
With all due respect to my Catholic brethren, it is not correct to say that mortal sin can only be forgiven by God in the presence of a priest, (if this has been said:) )

According to the beliefs of the Catholic Church, mortal sin can be forgiven if one has perfect contrition. That is, if one is sorry for what they have done not only because they fear hell, but most of all, they are sorry because they love God.

For a Catholic Christian, because we beleive that Jesus instituted confession (John 20:21-23) and showed us that this is the normative way He wishes our sins to be forgiven, we then would need to go to confession as soon as was possible. For a non-Catholic Christian, who through no fault of their own does not understand this, perfect contrition is always available.

[1452](javascript:openWindow(‘cr/1452.htm’)😉 When it arises from a love by which God is loved above all else, contrition is called “perfect” (contrition of charity). Such contrition remits venial sins; it also obtains forgiveness of mortal sins if it includes the firm resolution to have recourse to sacramental confession as soon as possible.51

While there are many different reasons on why for perfect contrition for a Catholic Christian must include a firm resolution to go to a sacramental confession, one is because it is a rule of the Catholic church.

We of course believe the Church has the right to make the rules because Christ gave them the authority to do so (Matt16:19). Further, the reason for the rule is for the benefit of the person, not just some arbitrary rule.

In 1 Cor 11:27-29 we see that one who is in grave sin but partakes of the Eucharist anyway, brings judgement upon themselves. “Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For any one who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself.” These rules, with sound biblical reasons are in place for the help of people.
I confused at what you said. When we pray for each other we are not praying through one another but for one another. However when you speak of Mary you speak as though she is mediating with Jesus for us. Since Mary is not with us, but with God, we are not praying for her because she is in paradise and does not need our prayer. We can pray to God and thank God for Mary but we do not need to pray to Mary to speak to God for us. Just pray to Him

God Bless you
We do not need to ask other Christians to pray for us, we can just pray to Him and we should. But we ALSO are told by scripture that we should pray for one another, and ask others to pray for us.

The confusing part for a non-Catholic Christian is they have lost the true understanding of the completeness of what belonging to the body of Christ is all about.

Through Christ, those who die in Him are alive not dead. Further, they continue on with that which we are told to do while still on earth. They are praying (Hebrews talks about the cloud of witnesses).

We can see in scripture that those who are no longer on earth are in fact, still concerned about those who are still on earth. That does not change. And through the grace of God, He allows the body of Christ to pray for one another. He does this by allowing the saints in heaven to hear the saints on earth asking for the saints in heaven to pray for them.

Someone else said this but I will do so again. The “Hail Mary” prayer is made up mostly of scripture. And what is not scripture, is simply Asking Mary to “pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death”.

Your sister in Christ,
Maria

Allweather, You have to understand that what I believe is not a result of indoctrination of a religion like catholicism that half of the people that follow dont have the slightest understanding of what they profess, but rather a result of my surrender to The God of Wonders and my asking Him into my life through His Son Jesus Christ. I understand where you are coming from to an extent, but i dont appreciate you looking at me like i’ll soon come to the false revelation that catholicism or religion in general will be what I live my life according to. Religion is not what its about man. Its about a relationship that ignites a passion in you to read The Word of Our Father and to live your life according to His will that you might reach others by leading your life in faith and the fruits of the Spirit. I am not protestant. Im a Born-Again, non-denominational, Spirit filled follower of the ONLY mediator between God and Men. Thanks
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Grand Opening of the First Holy Church of Me. I have discovered this Catholic book and created a god in my own image and likeness from its pages. My god only likes to be worshiped in the method that I have discovered, any other manor of worship is considered evil and defaming and should have the full brunt of our hate brought to bear upon it. Within the First Holy Church of Me we deny the authority of Sacred Tradition or Magisterium because they would act against our ability to worship the idol we have created for ourselves. In fact we reject the entire concept of a religion because it has this nasty habit of exposing the fraud I have committed against myself.

Let me ask you a serious question, NewPerspective, is this the manor of addressing fellow Christians the Holy Spirit has shown you? If we were in grave err, as you claim, would this attack be helpful in any way? I find it hard to believe that somebody so filled with pride in their own interpretation can hear the voice of God clearly enough to be judging us. Humility is the heart of scripture, you should keep reading until you find it. 👍

How about your praying to Mary, and bizarre acknowledgment of her as more than just a vessel used by God and a follower of Christ.
Probably comes from the same place as the bizarre idea that my own mother is not a mere vessel, but a spiritual human being whom I am commanded by God’s law to respect, honour, and (while living in her house) obey. I didn’t jump out of my mother’s womb, kick her aside, and start my life’s work, and neither did Jesus.
She is not a mediator between you and God. Thats BLATANT scripture. There is an instance in the Gospel of Luke chapter 11 verse 27 where a woman cried out "Blessed is the womb that bare thee…"and Jesus rebuked her and replied “Blessed is those who hear The Word and keep it”.
To show that Mary is not merely a set of body parts - her glory is that she heard and obeyed. Mary is not just a vessel; she is an obedient servant of God and Mother of God.
Mary is in paradise with Jesus, yes, im not arguing the fact that she was a devout follower of Jesus, but she is not a mediator between us and God nor is she any more “Holy” than us as your doctrine teaches and as scripture does not.
Not even Moses could stand the touch of God on the skin of his hand; yet Mary bore Him in her womb.
Yes she is special, but so are you and me. And when you guys do your Rosary thing, are like only 3 beads dedicated to our Heavenly Father and the rest of them Hail Marys? You can do what you want but I would rather hail Jesus Christ the Son of God who bore our sin and died for me at Calvary. Thanks
The Rosary consists of 20 meditations on Scripture, which are timed out by reciting Hail Marys - ten Hail Marys for each meditation sequence. If you aren’t meditating on Scripture while doing the Rosary, then you’re doing it wrong. 😉

In fact we reject the entire concept of a religion because it has this nasty habit of exposing the fraud I have committed against myself.QUOTE]

AMEN!
If protestants would only realize that by being so they make Jesus out to be a liar when he promised Peter that the gates of Hell would not overcome his Church…so sad.
