(Quote from, I’m just me post#4
I was born and raised Roman Catholic, including 6 years in Catholic Boarding school (in Italy - with nuns even!) and received Catholic Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage. With several priests in the family and being raised by nuns (and a very devout mother) I was well indoctrinated in the Catholic faith…sometimes going to regular mass on Sunday morning and Latin mass in the afternoon.
All the years as a Catholic, I never read a Bible from cover to cover.
I wonder if you’ve ever read through the whole Bible and wondered about the inconsistencies. (end Quote)
Hello imJustme, What you aren’t remembering since you left the church, and Janet also,is what you both were taught in the convent. It was full of scripture , you may not have been told to read the bible from cover to cover, however, the TRUTH was taught to you good and proper.
As adults you should have picked up on the fact that the Bible alone theory came from the Protestant reformation arount the 1500’s. Many forget that.
The Bible alone disproves the ‘Bible Alone the theory’- **the Bible comes from the Church **not the other way around. St Jerome was assigned to put it together in the 400’s.
What I see in all this is that you are not acknowledging these truths when they are pointed out to you. The arguing blinds us.:tsktsk:Carlan

Amighty Father, source of everlasting light, send forth your truth into our hearts and pour over us your light. Amen
