I don’t pretend to be an expert on what pentecostals do in their Churches, but I’m afraid of entering one of them and experiencing something like this:

“Holy Laughter” and people dancing in the aisles really irks me.
I’ve heard of that type of things, people laughing or barking or falling on the ground , fainting and so on : I would be scared of that too ; in France the “original” Pentecostals don’t accept this type of things, but in some charismatic groups they do, and I’m not sure about what Catholic charismatic groups “tolerate” …
the Baptist church you mention must be … quite special … sounds quite sectarian to me, especially if it is formed of only …two families … and their attitude is terrible ( what you mention )
It’s the church that pickets the funerals of American soldiers and teaches that the Iraq War is God’s judgment upon America for “tolerating” homosexuals. They believe that anyone who isn’t a member of their congregation (which is composed of two families) is condemned to hell. They’re based in Topeka, Kansas, and have become famous for the signs they carry around, the most famous of which reads “God Hates Fags”.
