REUSEL, Netherlands, February 22, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Dutch Catholic priest who withheld Communion last week from his town’s openly homosexual Carnival “prince” was faced at Mass this Sunday with a protest from homosexual activists. Saying that he feared “sins” and “sacrilege,” the priest chose not to distribute Communion at all.

Protesters, led by town council member Dick Boonman and Gay Krant editor Henk Krol, distributed pink triangles with the word “Homo,” to be worn on the chest at Mass. The protest was held at the parish after Fr. Buyens chose to deny Communion to homosexual Gijs Vermeulen, 24, on February 13th.

DutchNews.nl reports that homosexual activists are planning to protest at St. John’s Cathedral in Den Bosch next Sunday in order to challenge the bishop.

I’m glad he has the support of his bishop.
When the bishops lead with moral courage, great things can happen.
Let’s all pray for these shepherds guarding their flocks in the midst of wolves.

I wish a few more of my Lutheran counterparts would be so brave.

That is a gross, disgusting, and flagrant insult to the Jewish people who died during the Holocaust. Denying someone communion does NOT equate to gassing them in death camps.

I will pray for that brave priest.
 
what in the world is going? do these people think that they can have their way in the Church? the evil one seems to be enraged against the CC.

what is wrong with people? how did we get this far? does this have anything to do wiht human rights? everyone thinks that they all the rights determined by themselves?

something has gone really wrong with this so called human rights.

The evil one has been enraged against the Church from the beginning. That’s not new. 😉
But this weird interpretation of human rights is getting --well, weirder and weirder.

I feel kinds of like ordinary, compassionate people were suckered in.
Homosexual acts were decriminalized because people thought it was mean to care what people did in the privacy of their own bedrooms, live and let live, etc. But this has gone beyond the privacy of their own bedrooms. Homosexual activists don’t seem to believe in live and let live. They are insisting not that we just have tolerance for their lifestyles, but that we approve and give them special privileges.

that is it. evil comes dressed in the name of goodness and people who wants to be good get sucked in. it is difficult situation now, that we are all preaching love without a definition of what love is. it became without bounderies. there is no bounderies and people decided that in the name of love everything goes.
