Hi Dokimas, As fear as I have read there is none except abpuy Oran and the scripture To be fruitful and multiply. I have look and researched but none. I agree about Oran so I will be prepared to get my head chopped off along with you.

I have also be called a lot of names here on other threads cause I do npt believe Birth Control is a sin.
Thank you for your fair comments. As for the verse that says to be fruitful and multiply, doesn’t also say to replenish the earth? If so, I’d say 6 or 7 billion people means this has been accomplished, wouldn’t you?

Cool and Hi

Hi.

BTW, if you are a Catholic and you have a differing opinion on some matters than your church, I’d say you have integrety by not believing something just because you are told to by mere mortals. Stick to what you’ve studied and see in the Word of God.

No apology necessary.

Was it something I said?😃 I don’t wear aftershave so you couldn’t think I had perfume.

Or is it that most men seem to have brain damage and I’m very much on top of my game?

Yeo. And I think it has been replenished quite well.

I am Catholic but I also went to Protestant Church for many many years and did a lot of Bible Study. I was half raised Catholic and the other nothing,

Thank you and I do not believe everything I believe in the word of God,I do stick to what I have studied and love it.

Good for you.

I love these verses from Romans .

4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
7 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.
8 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

Ues I love them too. The big concern with some folks around here they do not like me saying I am Catholic when I do not agree with some issues. I always tell them if it ain’t in the Bible I do not believe it. So that is where the flak comes from. But I don’t want to be brain washed. God Bless

Where in scripture does it say that if it isn´t in scripture don´t believe it_

What is the quickest, easiest way to prove to a Baptist that the Catholic church is the true church Jesus Christ founded, and is still the true church?
A Baptist Pastor and a Catholic Priest, were discussing Baptism and how it should be done. Pastor said to the Priest I’ll prove it to you but we have to go down to the river.

The Pastor said you must walk into the water, the Priest went in up to his kees, Pastor said go in further, priest stopped neck high, Pastor said dunk your head, Priest replied
see Pastor told you it was just the head.🤷

Peace and God Bless
onenow1:)

I have no verse. I don’t think sex with self is a good idea. Do you have a verse on the subject?
not off hand, where did you get your idea that such a thing isn’t good?
Thank you for your comment about my personal faith. You must have more faith if you believe some of the things taught by the CC which are not in the Bible.
What i said was not meant as an attack on your personal faith, more of a caution…your opinion on bearing children in this age seems to show a lack of trust in God’s ablity to help raise and guard those children.
I will admit using the verse I did from Jesus was a stretch. I was illustrating danger in having children in this day and age.
see above
If you raised your children in God’s way there is nothing to fear…“fear not for it is I”(Jesus)

I guess St.Paul is above his own words…St.Paul’s first epsitle to the Corinthians5:12 For what have i to do with judging those outside? Is it not those inside whom you Judge?

Truly you haven’t read scripture for you have missed the quote i gave from Tobias.

You persist in calling yourself catholic yet by the Church’s teaching you hold to that which is immoral and by St.Paul’s words from his first Epistle to the Corinthians you have nothing to hide behind to protect yourself from being judged.
How about you present this view to your parish priest before you recieve the Eucharist again,

Are you saying Paul contradicted himself?

What immoral teaching? Where are the verses that prove it’s immoral?

That’s what i like about you people such short memories:D…Remeber the verses i gave you from Tobias the one’s you convinently (sic)don’t hold to be scripture.🙂
tweetymom is catholic so she should hold those same verses to be scripture.

Are you saying Paul contradicted himself?
The manner in which you and tweetymom are using the verses from Romans (to shield yourselves from being judged) implies that St.Paul did indeed contradicted himself.

There’s judging and then there is Judging. We are to judge right and wrong (sin issues - not because we’re better but because we love the sinners; if it wasn’t for the grace of God, we’d fall on our faces). We are not to look down on people. There are some beliefs, as Paul was addressing, that aren’t a right or wrong issues so when you think yours is better, you’re judging wrongly.

Yes that was what St.Paul was writing about in Romans. However what St.Paul was writing about in his first Epistle to the Corinthians was about immoral behavior…and by the Church’s teaching birth control is immoral therfore Romans is not a shield from being judged on this issue.

What’s your proof that God thinks its always immoral? Bible proof, please.

Wrong logic. I’m not saying all ST is incorrect. On the other hand you seem to be saying all ST is always correct. I’m saying if ST matches with the Bible it’s correct and when it doesn’t match up with the Bible, it’s incorrect.

.
Sacred Tradition is the Word of God, and therefore, inerrant.

What you are saying is that, if the Truth that the Apostles committed to the Church is not consistent with how you understand the Scripture, then the Teaching of theApostles is wrong. 🤷
