PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence plans to lead a “peaceful protest” outside Planned Parenthood’s Point Street offices in Providence on Saturday, as part of a “national effort to defund Planned Parenthood.”
A statement issued Friday by the Diocese said: "The protest is to raise awareness about Planned Parenthood’s trafficking of aborted baby parts. Thousands of concerned citizens are expected to attend these protests all across the country.’’
