Wills is looking at the Church as a group of believers that don’t need to bother to follow Church teaching since the laity makes up the Church. He disregards Doctrine and Church documents. Basically, we are our own masters. The last part of the interview he says there will be no need for priests!!! we need priests now more than ever.

While the laiity does make up the Church we are still being led by our priests, bishops., and pope and we should be subject to the authority of doctrine and Church teaching.

There is so much of this poisonous thought going around today and here it is on the news, its no wonder people disregard the authority of Holy Mother Church.

Gary Wills has no authority, not to mention his outlook is seriously erroneous.

Gary has always been spiritually confused. No different than other dissenters, and he was raised during the age of dissent, like Gov. Gerry Brown of Cal. At least he still goes to Church. Don’t let it bother you.

And if I may add: Deacons 👍

The laity can add insightful and fresh things to the Church without going against doctrine and Church teaching.
