The materialist perspective asserts that there is no possible claim that can be made outside of the context of physical experience. MarcoPolo’s claim does not assert that all non-physical claims must be accepted; rather, it only asserts that physical claims are not the only ones that may be accepted.

Is there any logical reason for the assumption that we no longer have free will?

I did not challenge the idea that free will would no longer exist for the individual. The idea is that there is a timeline for seeking redemption. That timeline was not set by me so any further questions about the logic behind it must be asked of the one organization that came up with it to begin with.
