Perhaps you need to read slower.As YOU can see, what I said is what the Church teaches. Purgatory explained
Note: back in Post 188 “money money money” is the argument used by @ReadTheBible. That old argument is also addressed.
1 Corinthians 3:10-15 -
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire
This is your best evidence for purgatory?
Those passages show what happensfor someone who is saved BUT after one dies and before entrance to heaven. They go through a process. You’re NOT addressing that point.
TrueOn judgement day every human’s work and life will be be revealed?.
When the passage says one “suffers loss” through the process of being tested in fire, does it sound like a pleasant experience?That passage says nothing about a person suffering or the soul suffering
I’ll just say, If a Protestant is in purgatory, based on Protestants not believing in purgatory, then Protestants aren’t praying for their dead.. Do you believe people are in purgatory now and you or any other human can do anything to lessen their time spent there?
That’s assuming in a positive view, there are Protestants in purgatory going to heaven.
I say it that way because Jesus did tell us in advance, from His lips to our ears
Few make it to heaven
As in most go to hell.
