“And while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us!” Do you believe that God accepts us just as we are, whether broken, prideful, stubborn or worse? Yes, I believe He does! And if we let Jesus live His life through us, it makes living up to your faith a bit easier! But the priest doesn’t really drink a beer, right? I met my beautiful wife while engaged in street ministry:thumbsup: God kept pushing us together, and we kept pushing away! Finally, we realized that He had ordained and orchestrated this union, and six weeks later began dating! We have many Matthew 25(Matthew 25:31-40) ministries, and find immense joy in serving! In my past, I have dated Mormon, catholic,Baptist, and Seventh Day Adventist! I do not condemn anyone’s faith, rather encourage them to follow Jesus(of course icking up your cross daily)! One thing that I am certain of; if God is not in your marriage, the road will be rough and dark! You are right lb noone can blame anyone for leaving the CC. We all have free will and you are not to blame. I will say one thing about the RCC. It will not accept people as they are when it comes to sin. Rather you hate them or love them they will not change the teaching because they cannot. ANd I will say it is the hardest faith to live up to. It does not teach that everyones getting in to heaven thats for sure. Actually it teaches us to take up our crosses daily, and it teaches us to repent and confess every single day.
Now that I think of itIts like your parents in a way, It always shows you no matter what, you can always do better, be better. And trust me when you are Catholic people expect so much more of you, and I don’t understand why. I never understood that. Its like because we are Catholic we can’t be human.
Even the Priest, If he drinks one beer he is a drunk, I think he has the hardest job in the world. Everyone goes to him when they have no where else to go, and expect him to fix their lives. But I guess it is what it is:shrug:
