If baptism truly does forgive sins, then why must we profess faith and belief in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son, who came to “take away the sins of the world!”? Why not just get baptized and be done with it? All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God! But is a baby aware of sin, as adults are?

Sprinkling is not correct as the water is poured not sprinlked. In fact, sprinkling would not be considered vallid. Sorry I didn’t catch this before:blush: I don’t know how far back you remember but I heard someone say they could remember their birth. The first I remember was when I was 7 month. I could go on about this but it really is a moot pointl. I don’t remember when I was vacinated either but that doesn’t mean it didn’t take. The Eucharist was the fullfillment of Passover that doesn’t mean that it has to be done like passover. It has come into its greater meaning being fullfilled by Jesus. Baptism is not only a belief in Jesus but obedience to Him as well. We don’t believe that you are saved by saying I believe. It takes more that that. Like I said, it is a draw! And sprinkling as far as I know was authorized, if the water supply was not adequate. So with all the water available today, why would you still sprinkle? And I figure that purgatory must be a lot like the Twilight Zone; or limbo

I will repeat we do not sprinkle. Sprinkling was never done. The water was poured. Evene with a small amount of water you could stilll pour. I can pour a table spoon. I don’t care if you come to the conclusion that you don’t see the same meaning in Scripture but to dismiss those scriptures by merely saying I haven’t found any Scripture is dishonest. You have to be perfect to enter heaven. How is that accomplished? These are questions already asked but you haven’t answered them.

Your faith is demonstrated by being obedient to Jesus. He founded a Church, now called the Catholic Church. So if you believe in Jesus why don’t you belong to His Church?
