If we can’t know one, how can we know the other?
If we had a formula to calculate the number of people who lived in the past and will be born in the future we do not know when the future ends.
Therefore we lack a key piece of data and cannot complete the calculation.

We might be able though to determine the portion of mankind that will be saved using info from the bible.

My last post should have said “Do you.” not “So you.”

When God created the angels, (which He created them before creating us) He gave THEM a test as well. 1/3 failed Revelation 12:4 ] and were thrown out of heaven. Jesus said of Satan their leader Luke 10:18 . ]
So when Jesus our Savior said, as far as humanity is concerned, only a few are saved, who am I to disagree? Comparatively speaking then, humanity is doing far worse in our test than the angels did. The numbers for us is flip flop. That’s assuming 1/3 is considered “few”. “Few” could be fare less than a third.

And what’s missing is an actual number of angels, as is actual numbers of humanity to put the fraction or (Few) to work.

I agree. We cannot know the number but knowing the ratio of saved vs damned might inspire more of the saved to work harder to bring more to salvation.

That’s why CA exists. To instruct. The ratio of the saved which is small compared to the damned which is everybody else, ought to scare the hell out of everybody.

2 Esdras 78-80
Concerning the wicked.
1: They adore the glory of the Most High.
2: They will not enter into habitation(rest).
3: They will wander about in torment.
I think this torment will be mental.
Actually Blanchard your source in # 2 “They will not enter into habitation(rest).” Clearly teaches the spirit receives a particular judgment upon death, when the spirit leaves the body returning to God. The spirits judged wicked will not enter into rest but immediately wander about in torments, #3 in your post. After the body is resurrected they will receive their final judgment and be thrown into the Lake of Fire body and spirit.

[Hb9 :27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:]

I agree that there is a judgment after death and before the first resurrection. It has nothing to do with our works just our faith.
