The Russian Orthodox church was severely persecuted under the communist regime. Churches were torn down and priests were put in jail. One Church in St. Petersburg ( used to be Leningrad) was used as an atheist museum. President Putin has supported the building of hundreds of new Orthodox Churches and the Russian Patriarch has met with with Pope Francis. What a pleasure to see President Putin moving to outlaw SS marriage. i am very distressed to see Roman Catholic college publications with photos congratulating SS couples on their SS marriage. This is not the way it should be. I don’t see where Holy Scripture approves of this.

Well here in the states we have liberal Catholics enamored with a political ideology that supports the killing of unborn innocent human beings, the redefinition of marriage, euthanasia and seeks to suppress the Catholic Church… so maybe we shouldn’t be pointing fingers.

From the look of things he seems to be doing better than any other leader in the world. Regarding suppression, you may want to find out about western citizens who cannot get the basic necesities of life despite the wealth of these nations and ask them what is suppression. By the way Catholic suppression is no diffrent from any suppression. There are many Catholics who support abortion and have no respect for the eucharist. In relative terms Putin may be more catholic than many Americans. I think the action Putin has taken is better than attending pro-life demonstration by Trump if he cannot ban it

Faithful Catholics who are in their 70s and 80s have been waiting for a glimmer of the promised conversion of Russia. They have hope. Their hope is in Christ and the blessed Mother’s intercession. Russia has a great love for the Blessed Mother. There have been a lot of babas and geedos praying for their country to turn around. The faithful in the US better pray real hard that the ‘errors of Russia’ do not visit their country as our Lady warned at Fatima.

I do know that I’ve been in American Academia for 21 years and can attest that the horrors of Communism were never once mentioned in any of my History classes, yet Marx, Lenin, and Che Guevara were glorified as heroes of the masses. It basically comes down to “hate the man who’s better off than you,” and “Christianity is the enemy of your freedom to choose.”
