Hi,
It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Mass. I started going again this month. I have a question that I never knew, but should have, growing up Catholic.
There is a sign that people make during Mass. It isn’t the Sign of the Cross. It’s the one where people touch their forehead, lips (I think), and chest. Can anyone tell me what this means, and the correct way it is to be done? I honestly couldn’t remember ever learning it, although I remember people doing it way back when (and wondering about it then too, but I never asked).
Sorry to sound so ignorant, but if I don’t ask, I’ll truly never know! Plus I felt awkward at Mass when I wasn’t sure what to do.
Thanks,
Aunt Martha
