Okay, guys, so I’m being confirmed tomorrow, and I did my first confession today. Problem is, afterward I went to Stations of the Cross, and all I could think about was how I kinda twisted one of my sins a bit. I’m not even really sure if it was a sin - it was something from childhood but that I still felt just awful about, and it was one of the ones I was worrying about a lot before confession. As in, I described it as “playing doctor” with my siblings like a lot of little kids do, to soften it up, but that’s not EXACTLY what it was; I just felt awful thinking about saying it. So, now I feel like I have omitted something, and I want to tell the priest about it before Easter vigil, but I don’t know if I should. I’m not sure if this is me making a huge deal out of a little thing… but I just can’t let it go, and it has totally overridden the joy of confession being over. Anybody’s opinion would be welcome.
Oh, and my priest is apparently not very orthodox… He didn’t give me any penance, and I didn’t have to do the act of contrition, so I’m not quite sure how he would feel about me going back.
